****, now I'm mulling over just how terrible Szpilka looked against Minto, and considering going and reverting my picks to Minto by early KO.

    :think

    :huh

Is this your way of criticizing Szpilka's management for putting him in with Mollo too soon and rushing into a rematch? :D

Well, he beat Cloud so clearly that they couldn't rob him, and still....
One of the worst robberies in the past couple of years, imo.

Fonfara beat Johnson pretty clearly. Think there was about two clear Johnson rounds, 4-5 clear Fonfara rounds, and four rounds that could go to either. Cards were generous, not disgraceful, though.

That said, Campillo gets no favors in Chi-city.

PUNISH HIM, GABRIEL!!!! CAMPILLO EL CHICO GUAPO (NO ES HOMO!)!!!

Mike definitely seemed to be under his skin at the weigh-in.

Did he weigh in 233 or 226? :huh Boxrec says 226 - which is five pounds lighter than last time - but the ring announcer just said 233, so maybe Boxrec got their weights mixed up.

No i think it was a doctor, and he had a what am I doing here moment. When he stood there in the ring while Molo was counted out.

Indeed, Campillo's style and light-punching is rarely endearing to judges.

I remember having it even, despite it being the worst version of Johnson ever seen.

Mollo's footwork & stance kind of reminds me of Bob "The Beast" Sapp.

    Round 1

Szpilka is trotting left as Mollo pumps a stubby T-Rex double jab at him. Mollo pauses and shrugs at Szpilka, who shrugs in answer while continuing to circle. Mollo charges Szpilka to the ropes and flurries, digging a heavy left hook to the body. Szpilka ties up and then muscles his way off the ropes, tossing Mollo away. Mollo telegraphs a big right hand lead and runs into a straight counter left from Szpilka. Another left hand from Szpilka. Mollo is wobbled. Slapping right hook from outside by Szpilka, followed by another left. Mollo stumbles and catches his balance, one arm out behind him. Mollo rushes Szpilka and puts his forehead against Szpilka's chest, digging left hooks downstairs. Right jab up top, left uppercut to the gut by Szpilka before jerking out as Mollo loads up on telegraphed counters he never gets off before the bell.

    10-9 Szpilka

    That's not a good thing.

In another note, I can't believe they had the same ref scheduled to do this match as the first one. Are they crazy, lol.
