ESPN2 FNF: Andrzej Fonfara vs. Gabriel Campillo & Artur Szpilka vs. Mike Mollo II RBR

Fonfara is on the other end of the spectrum, as ugly as they come.

He is like a cross between Matthew Modine, Willem DaFoe, and Geoffrey the Giraffe.

...as unflattering a blend as you can imagine, of those. The worst qualities from all.

 

Of course he is, and you can't blame the bookies. Kov brutalized him.

...and Fonfara is a decade younger, @ home, and coming off adding two decent names to his resume... (although both were controversial, and even without the controversy the current shot old version of Johnson is nothing to be proud of beating)

 

Just to note: both men usually have a height advantage.

Campillo is circling right and putting up high right jabs and single left hand spears to Fonfara's chest. Fonfara is sticking the left jab stepping forward. Right hand by Fonfara, ducked and swerved past by Campillo. Right to the body by Fonfara as Campillo trots backward, only getting tickled with it. Campillo slips a Fonfara jab leaning backward, and rebounds with a straight left up top. Campillo slips a few jabs at mid-range, using head movement. Left hook by Fonfara, blocked. Campillo is dancing in and out, side to side. Fonfara thrusts out a triple jab, missing past either side of Campillo's neck as the Spaniard dances around it. Lead left by Campillo, not quite reaching. Jab by Campillo into the guard of Fonfara.

10-9 Campillo, not a lot between them.
