So the fact that Fonfara stopped Campillo means you were right to have ridiculously scored it to him through eight?

Did you have Molina up on the cards before he stopped Bey, too?

That should be over. 3:00 - 1:31 is the first half of the round. 1:30 - 0 is the 2nd half.

Uggggh, that was tough to take. I had the fight scored for Campillo through 8 rounds, 6-2 rounds, 78-74 points, giving Fonfara the 1st and (barely) the 8th, when I gave Fonfara credit for hurting Campillo late even though Campillo had won the round comfortably otherwise. Campillo fought a great fight most of the way, backing up Fonfara, and snapping his head back with lefts and rights. Campillo also showed good defense, blocking most of what Fonfara threw up until the 8th and 9th. However, Campillo was wrong to stay in the pocket and bang, and not move more to his right, away from Fonfara's right hand. Campillo's corner was also a disaster, they did a HORRIBLE job on Campillo's right eye, and I think even an average corner would have cleared the eye enough for him to have the edge. In the end though, I think Campillo simply gassed, Fonfara's thudding punches, though mostly blocked, wore him down, and that body shot when he was already on his way down finished him off, and probably cost him the ability to continue. Heartbreaking result for me, I love Campillo and his style, and wanted him to get another title shot after suffering so many dire robberies in his career, but tonight it was not to be.

I acknowledged the first two were very close in my RBR posts, and told PinoyProdigy his 20-18 to Fonfara was perfectly acceptable.

Rounds 3-7 weren't close, and pretty much everyone had them for Campillo. (the only people calling those ones close, with all due respect, are known Euro cheerleaders...and of course also chitownfightfan with his dubious objectivity...)

The eighth, yes, Fonfara hurt Campillo, but had clearly lost nearly three full minutes before that.

Anyway, he rendered it all moot. Good patience and perseverance from Andrzej, not getting rattled by how much Campillo made him miss and touched him up during the first eight.

Fonfara's win was poetic justice because Teddy hates him & was rooting against him all night. :good

I know round clocks go backwards, but when they say "at one minute thirty seconds of the ninth round," they mean on a clock that begins at 0:01, do they not? 1:30 of the round would be the final second of the under, I would think.

:good I could see a range anywhere from 80-72 to Campillo like on my card to 77-74 (giving Fonfara rounds 1, 2, and 8 - all close, though 1 & 2 were close throughout while 8 became close only because of Campillo getting hurt late)

Seriously Teddy made it sound like Fonfara was about to get knocked out any minute.

Round 4 and another one were fairly close and scoring it for Fonfara wouldn't have been unreasonable.

Oh wait, you're right. It is the under.

I was just thinking about how Chavez stopped Taylor at 2:58 of the 12th round.

If you bet on the under. Congrats!
