The klittards on this board have an undeserving sense of superiority and denial. They genuinely do not believe that HW boxing has declined and this is not a weak era.

I'm a Vitali fan but I also believe he wait for the top fighter to get old before he stepped up. When he Fought Lennox Lewis, Lewis was begining to show his age. Vitali is top dog now in a weak division, but I also believe he could have done well against those guy he have be accused of ducking.

Well, Vitali fought Chris Byrd once, and he could not land one decent punch on the man. Byrd made him quit (and we should all know better than to believe Vitali's reason).

Fact: Vitali never asked for a rematch, and he never fought similar slick fighters like Chambers, Haye, and Chagaev.

shot to **** Tyson was supposed to fight Vitali, but got KFTO'd by Danny Williams in an eliminator, who then fought Vitali

before you start trolling, a little research never hurts

Eliminator??? Mike Tyson was the former champion and the most popular boxer of all time. He did not need an eliminator to fight Vitali ****ing Klitschko, who by the way had zero fans at that time. All Vitali had to do was give him a shot, and everyone would have accepted Tyson as a legit opponent. But Vitali was happy to let Mike get even older, and was probably relieved that he got knocked out and didn't have to fight him at all.

oh, ok, so let's see, going by your wistful way of thinking, Briggs is a former champion, Liakhovic is a former champion, so they should get title shots without fighting eliminators? maybe Wlad should bring Brewster out of retirement and make the rubber match because he's a former champion who doesn't need an eliminator to get a title fight?
