Maybe he should have given Mundine another rematch instead lol... always knew Geale was a good fighter but not on an elite level with fighters like GGG and Martinez. Its funny how the Geale fans thought Geale could beat GGG yet he couldnt even get past Barker. There should be NO DOUBT in anyones mind now why Geale refused to face GGG. Simply put GGG would hve knocked Geale TFO.

Yeah, it wasn't a blatant duck like when Mundine ducked GGG though. Given the circumstances, Geale would've been silly to fight GGG. I think Golovkin dispatches of Barker and Martinez relatively easily. Geale at least has a chance to last the distance - because he has good feet and appears to have a decent chin. I always thought Pirog and Korobov were the only dangers to GGG, just injuries have curtailed Pirog and Korobov hasn't came on as expected, I still think he'll make his mark in 2014.
Don't bother mate. IM not saying that Geale should not have fought Mundine , im saying that given his known obligations to fight GGG at the time and his voiced confidence of defeating GGG that he should have got that fight out of the way and then fought Mundine, Mundine is always going to still be there but if he didnt fight GGG he knew he was going to loose one of his belts. The only reason not to fight GGG is if they had a genuine concern that Geale could not defeat GGG, its called practice what you preach. In any event it was a good fight, always knew Barker could pull it off, this may set Barker up for a rematch with the ***y man Martinez.
