Anyone notice the referee carrying Cleverly to his corner at end of 3rd round?!

I have never seen anything like it...............the fight should have been stopped at the end of the third. Cleverly couldn't walk back to his corner, so the ref carried him..............however, Kovalev simply beat he crap out of Cleverly in the 4th. Kovalev got the knockout anyway................but still..............

He was going to stop the fight, but the bell rang.

It's pretty obvious the ref was bought. He's a favorite of Frank War*en's. He was giving Cleverly every chance to come back. If Kovalev was in that position, he would have stopped it at the first KD.

It's crazy that every Frank War*en card has the judges and the ref in his pocket. Kovalev won the only way he could have. If the fight went 12 rounds...it was going to be a robbery.

 

British refs are shocking as they struggle to hide their bias. I'm sure if they could they would help with fighting the visiting fighter.

The ref in the chisora scott bout counting scott out at 9, and then I remember in the kahn vs diaz, fight the ref was shielding kahn from diaz finishing him off.


And now last nights circus with the ref holding clevely on his feet and not counting before the bell.

 

British refs are the worst in the world. There is just no comparison.

I've watched so much boxing over the years and I've never seen such bias.

- They stop the fight quickly if the visiting fighter is slightly hurt, f*cking them over. Countless examples.
- They risk the health of local fighters by giving them extra chances when they're too hurt to continue. Maccarinelli vs Frenkel, Kovalev vs Cleverly are great examples.
- Or they get in the way of the visiting fighter when he's on the verge of knocking out the local fighter. Not common, but it happened a few times.

It's just mind-numbing. They don't know how to ref fights. Or maybe they do, but they're just too biased and corruptible.

 

No wonder some British fans want certain fighters to fight in England.

Get an international ref e.g. bayless to ref it.

 

When was the last time Bayless officiated a fight in England?

 

If he was biased or bought he wouldn't have even stepped in when he did. Given it was a world title fight I expect he anted to give him every opportunity. He stopped it right after anyway.

It happens everywhere of course, but in other countries it's much more "incidental" as it is in the UK.
Based on the last couple of years I've come to the conclusion the British refs are even worse as the Germans.
