Cleverly did what Hopkins and most other LHW fighter won't do. Kovalev will be like GGG now, unable to get a good fight. The fight was a copy of the white fight. Kovalev does the same thing every time. Very calm, and hits hard with every shot until his man is hurt then goes for the kill. Wait and see, Kovalev will have trouble getting fights after that. Fighting him is almost a guaranteed lose.

He didnt need to take this fight but i guess holding on for Hopkins didnt work so he had to take someone legit

Thing about these guys when they have to step up because they tried to do it the easy way they end up getting the extra hard way

Same thing will happen to Brook he's gonna end up having to fight someone like Ortiz or Thurman and then hes gonna get demolished

he just wanted to get to the top of his game and thought he had the tools to do it.
he didnt care who he fought because he simply thought he was the best in the division.

OP seems to be chastising one fighter for stepping up and another for NOT stepping up:think

I don't see the problem in fighting the best when you got a belt. Why would we care about the politics and economics behind Cleverly's career? Boxing fans have the desire to see intriguing match ups like this and Cleverly, ****ing finally, provided a legitimate opponent.

And now we got rid of a paper champ, so there's that. Boxing fans won last night, no doubt about that.

The version of reality in his head was miles away from actual reality. I think that he underestimated Kovalev indirectly, by massively overrating himself. That's why I'm not sure that taking the fight shows balls - he just didn't know what he was doing. If he says he wants a rematch, that would be a show of balls, now he's had his reality check.

How has Cleverly hidden in Wales? He has defended his title in America and England
