Daniel Geale v Darren Barker - analysis and prediction.

That was the highlight of the fight for me. What a warrior Barker was and indeed is getting up from that. He did what Macklin couldn't. All the forums have it split. I think Geales graciousness will cause me to watch it again,as even he believes he lost.

 

Im sure he will handle it.

 

I was screaming at the T.V '' count faster,count faster '' major props to Barker for coming back so well after that.Damn thats 2 out of 2 world title shots we have lost in America this year. Barker actually finished stronger than Geale not how I thought it would go at all.

 

Just don't know how people could have it so varied stiffler? One pundit I rate highly had it 116-111, so 8-4 with KD for Geale. I had it a little closer at 7-5 . I thought Barker's aggression was not always effective but given opinions are so divided, I want to watch it again because I will admit of I got it wrong.

I haven't scored it and said Barker won fair and square. You have mixed me up with Stiffjab again.

 

he had it 15 rounds to nil in barkers favour.

 

I had Barker up by 2 rounds.

 

i had geale winning by 3, the challenger has to take the rounds. Too many close rounds

 

I had it 8 rounds to 4 Geale plus the knockdown. He landed more shots and the cleaner shots although Barker had the heavier hands. Hard to dislike Barker though, when he was getting pummelled after the knockdown and he started throwing big shots back was like something out of Rocky.

 

I had it 114-113 Barker & thought he did just edge the fight.
Either way was a terrific Middleweight fight, but neither will want to meet GGG anytime soon.

 

I didn't read through this whole thread. Has anyone said if Dan had a rematch clause with Barker?
