Cleverly ring entrance - worst ever UK entrance

    Was Clevs gay lord music and dancing worse than when DeGale had some nugget sing "Chunky Chunky" into the ring (and one of his nuthuggers shined his boots for him on the way in) ?

    Even at the weigh in Cleverly was being arrogant. I guess the arrogance was him trying to gloss over his fear.

    All of team Cleverly overrated his chin, even a prime Glen Johnson would struggle to with stand Kovalev's power for 12 rounds.

    I find Vince Clev to be arrogant, in the build-up saying "if anyone's getting KO'ed, it's Kovalev." He also said "we have a plan a,b,c,d,e,f" Not a good boxing coach IMO.

    Yep he said it in the conference call he and John David Jackson did last week.

    JDJ was obviously confident in his fighter, but he had respect for Cleverly, something Vince didn't seem to have for Kovalev.

    All hyping the fight,talk, entrances but it was a bad choice of opponent. Would have been better to fight normal level fighters and vacate if Kovalev was mandatory. He could have fought Shumenov, Macca, Bellew, Braemher etc and have remained champ for a few years. Even though Cleverly is a very decent fighter, he gambled to take an unnecessary fight against someone who looks exceptionally good.

    I remember him trying to pilfer a bit of the Lewis magic by strolling in to 'Crazy Baldhead' prior to his twelve-round snoozer with Julius Francis. :lol:

    Cleverly's ring entrance was pure cheese. After that nodding & pouting fest on the way to the ring wearing that hideous bandana I half expected Mr Miyagi to pop up in his corner to give him a high five.

    I agree about Vince Cleverley. Think Nathan needs to get shot, no gameplan for fights and his motivational speeches in the corner are dreadful.
