Say what you want to say about title defenses, but if a contender or other title holder wants to prove he is the man it will not be so long till the fight is imposed.

The World record 19 title defenses is also WBA, it only means Chris John will be on top of that legendary list in 126.

The negative thinking is to question Chris John past while he is still active & has a hard to dispute 18 WBA title defenses! IMO he should be pressured into a high caliber fight, before he retires :yep

This is the guy that won 3 rounds against Marquez and getting smacked around all over the ring in the championship rounds. Almost ko'd by Rocky Juarez. World class, but undefeated haha no way.

When John was told that Juarez was supposed to be just a stepping stone, he flew right back to Indonesia and did'nt look back.

The scorecards say different about the fight with Marquez. Maybe Marquez wasn't Roidquez yet that is why he lost.

Thats the whole point, the guy can't be beat & it seems that there is no Blue Print to beat him :huh

He been ruling the division for more than a decade now & somehow everybody passing by 126 just overlooked him. If he was beatable he would have lost by now.

with 8 belts per division its hardly an epic feat these days

hell there are 3 titles just in the WBA at 126

    WBA interim
    WBA regular
    WBA super

he never even cleaned up and unified his own ABC belt much less the other 5 :rofl

    its impressive he is 48-0
its not impressive his weak ass title run of laughable defenses

He didn't lose, but got robbed because he fought in The Gecko's backyard. Da-PEDran would of gotten robbed too.

He does have a draw and win in the United States. Maybe he should fight more often outside southeast Asia. Not saying the guy sucks cuz he doesn't, but since Marquez John hasn't fought anyone worth a dam. That's why he can go 60-0 if he wanted fighting nail parlor technicians like he is now.

The scorecards also say Pac won 2 fights with JMM and everyone knows that's bull****. Doesn't look good for you when the basis for your argument is inept judging.

Yeah I never pay attention to the versions gimmick, he has the only WBA that counts, because he been defending it for a decade. Its very simple if he was so weak then why nobody decided to go KNOCK HIM out :huh

Good post, especially the last bit about diamonds in the rough.

There's young fighters out there chomping at the bit for a shot against the increasingly faded John. I feel he'll soon meet his Jaro as did Pong... A potentially medicore, C-Level guy looking like a wrecking ball against a very faded, well past prime great/near great.

  12. No ****ing way should John still have his 0... JMM took that **** in his backyard only to get robbed.

John's career since then has been totally off the radar, whilst JMM's has been in the limelight.

    **** Chris John.

I doubt anyone with any real knowleadge views John as even a great fighter, much less an ATG.

The few that point to his gift vs Marquez and call it valid, are the few butthurt *******s mad that Marquez is Pacquiao's boogeyman.

I'd classify John as a good fighter falling well short of great.
To label him an ATG is beyond laughable.:nut

So he could get robbed again? You know damn well John would not have taken
the rematch outside of the cozy confines of his safety net.

    Did you really wonder?
