Actually, Manny was awesome in their 4th fight

In their 3rd encounter, Manny had seen Marquez struggle with Katsidis, saw he looked slow and old, and so took the fight confident he could beat him without having to go on the gear

He ended up getting absolutely schooled

So for the 4th fight, he knew he had to go back on them, and thats why Roach said he tought Marquez was using, but it wouldnt make a difference

And it almost didnt. Manny was busting him up Bad.

But JMM did what only a true legend could. He never gave up in the face of impossible adversity. He got hit by a huge Pacquiao punch with a few seconds remaining, yet still beckoned him in....

... and when he came in, he was hit by the punch that was ten years in the making

Its so significant that one of the most devasting KOs any of us will ever see was the result of a decade of pent up frustration

Yeah that's why the fourth fight was so frustrating for me. Manny was FINALLY clearly winning rounds without question. He got so excited to finish off the thorn in his side that he threw caution to the wind as he did in his 126-130 days. Can't do that at welter at the end of your career. Amateur mistake to totally destroy a performance that would have finally had him clearly actually outboxing a guy who knew him inside and out and always had his number. (I will always insist Pac narrowly won the first two fights, but lack of clear mastery and so many close rounds made it so damned open to debate). Pac still almost beat JMM in one round. He would look pretty invincible if Joe Cortez had made a different decision.

Jay Nady that night would have completely changed the course of Pac's career if he were the ref they used, I am absolutely certain.

@Armani - totally agree. Marquez got out the 1st round of their 42 by the skin of his teeth. It's crazy to think how that changed the careers and lives of the both of them.

A Pac fan accusing someone of using PEDS. That's hilarious especially since you bash PBF for asking for thorough PED testing to fight Pac fcuking hypocrite.

As much as a great KO that it was.....JMM was wrong that it would end Pacmans carreer. JMM needs to fight him again if he is to be a man of honor because winning once proves nothing.:deal

I know a whole bunch of crybabies are going to go over all the reasons they thought JMM won all of there previous fights but the fact is the scorecards are what they are. :deal

And such a drastic change in JMMs body raises even more questions than all of those scorecards combined.:deal
