My thoughts are the stevens hasn't really done anything in the division lately to warrant the shot, but since no one else wants to set foot in the ring with GGG right now, I give him credit.
That Stevens has talked himself into a well-paid beating. Afterwards, some will discredit the win and claim they should never have been in the same ring together. When Murray and Barker's respective promoters basically say they want no part of GGG, this is what you're left with.
if no one other wants to fight GGG it's a good fight Golovkin will knock him out and won't get any credit for it Still hope for GGG vs Chavez Jr
I've been enjoying Stevens' tear. Too bad it's up but big props for his bravery. Maybe he'll surprise us.
Just checked out Curtis Stevens His first loss was a TKO loss to a Venezuelan fighter with 19 wins - 15 losses . Hopefully he's improved a great deal since then , from what I hear about this GGG , whenever he cracks , it's "lights Out "
Macklin and Proksa (and the manner in which they were dispatched) are light years better than anything Stevens can muster on his resume.
