Thomas Oosthuizen turns down Andre Ward fight

I have only seen him fight once and on that performance he shouldn't be in the same ring as Ward..........which is what he seems to realise anyway!

 

He looked terrible in his last fight, based on that he's a level below the top super middles.

 

why is ward looking to box people like this though?????

 

Ward should move up to 175 and have a big fight there
Ward vs Kovalev makes sense they could both figh again by the end of the year

i actually thought he'd take this due to Ward being out for ages. he'll be rusty, so Thomas would stand more of a chance at beating him.

but no.

it was a great opportunity as well. especially after his dismal performance last time out. he could have been right back in the mix if he gave Ward a tough fight in a losing effort. shame.

Ward wouldn't fight Kovalev in his first fight back.

in fact, i don't think Ward will fight him full stop.

 

The voice in his head telling him to retire.

 

Rusty or not Ward would destroy him.

If ward wants to cement his place in the boxing timeline he needs to step up to light heavy now and do the buisness.

 

Oostghuizsn should beat someone like regale... Not ward. Not at this stage

When you have to rely on a gift draw against Gonzales, you probably aren't ready for Ward.

 

Exactly my take on it too.
Really poor performance, hopefully it was a one off as I didn't get the hype at all. Looked extremely clumsy and sluggish.

 

Again based just on the last time I saw him out, he looks as flawed and lacking as Degale. Would make for an interesting fight, but from what I've seem Degale is the better boxer.
I've seen a lot more of Degale, mind.

 

Ward refused to fight Kovalev. He was offered that fight live on the air...........Kovalev by knockout and Ward knows it.
