so floyd was looking scared and overwhelmed? true enough ortiz was having a good 4th round, but at the same time, he was gettin tagged up and his eyes were starting to swell and get closed up

so floyd hasnt moved in a long time? what r u talkin about? Floyd show pretty d#mn good legs and agility in his last fight against guerroro. He moved like a 26 yr old and showed NO signs that his legs were gone or he was old.

canelo has good potential and any fighter has a chance in any fight, but the points you made here got you soundin foolish and biased.

I think Canelo is still too green. And he's at a point in his career where, if he beats Mayweather, it will be because Mayweather has taken a step back, not Canelo taking a step forward.

I don't think Floyd is there yet, but at his age, it can happy at any fight. Canelo will give him fits, but I think Canelo being so young, will be awe struck with the hype, the press, the moment, and kind of wait on Mayweather in the ring.

There isn't any particular fight. You could say the same against Mayweather vs Pacquaio. Just like Canelo has never been in against an opponent like Mayweather, Mayweather has never been in with an opponent like Pacquaio.

Yet, people still have opinions on who would win that fight.

You are not going to see Floyd stand and trade at all. The rumors of his legs being gone were false, it was the style he chose to fight on those giving nights with Roger in his corner. Floyd Sr. is in his corner and he will have Floyd moving not taking any punishment like he did against RG.

Canelo will land a shot, the crowd will cheer, but in the end Floyd will walk away the winner again. Something like 116-112 which will be generous to Canelo.

Floyd's defense doesn't allow him to walk into straight rights like Trout did. You have to loop your punches over the shoulder roll, but Floyd is still quick enough to move or roll with it.

Mayweather looked great in moving against Guerrero who is dreadfully slow, and lacks any explosivness. The ease at which he got away from Guerrero, mostly reflexively, won't be available like it was with Guerrero for this fight.

Even Ortiz was explosive enough to hit Mayweather with his timed shots, when Mayweather least expected it, as he was normally in a position where his opponents cannot hit him.

He will be in the same predicament vs Canelo.

Shane looked no worse than he did against Pacquaio and even Mayweather, but unlike those fights, he never quit against Canelo.

He quit against Floyd and Pacquaio around the third round. Mentally, he was finished.

Against Canelo, he was determined, and took a beating, the worst of his career.

guerrero might have been slow, but that still doesnt take away the fact that mayweather moved damn good ALL night regardless. Plus guerrero kept coming forward the WHOLE round and WHOLE fight, Canelo doesnt come forward and fight the WHOLE round and he isnt much faster on his feet than the ghost, so what make you think Floyd wont have the stamina and agility to move against canelo when he has already shown he still has the legs and endurance to move all night?

    Shane came in washed up:lol:

Trout has eyes ....and can see that Canelito NEVER comes foreward. He can't hold the middle of the ring AT ALL.

Alvarez is NOT as strong as advertised.:hi:

Everytime Shane wanted a break he simply grabbed Canelo and walked his as.s around. He couldn't do that to Mayweather....hmmmm

You just can't grab Floyd everytime you want a break and walk him around at your liesure....like Alvarez.

Every one of Floyd's oppoents say "He was a lot stronger than I thought" in one form or another.

What happens when Howdy Doody finds out Mayweather is too strong for him???:think

How will he deal with Floyd's body jab???:think
He sux at protecting his body which is why he always gasses:deal
Austin Trout was killing him on the inside.

That Mayweather jab to the Solar Plexis is going to shine on Sept 14:yep

Guerrero's overall lack of skill, (IE: feinting, ring generalship, gameplan), combined with his lack of explosiveness is why Mayweather could move all night like he did with Guerrero.

Canelo's feints, will make Mayweather move sometimes when he shouldn't, and his explosivness will allow him to capitalize when Mayweather does move.

Obviously, I'm not ruling out a Mayweather win, but he will have to go through hell to secure the W.

so he wasnt determined against pac and floyd?at least when he fought floyd, he could pull the trigger on his punches. shane had the soul of an ol man when he fought canelo, he was so jittery and tense against canelo,i aint see not one punch he threw against saul that looked like he threw it with meaning and determination. If you call that **** poor performance DETERMINED than ion know what ta say for you.

I got this being an honestly difficult fight for Floyd. If Floyd can't get Canelo's respect consistently enough, he ends up going backward while boxing. If this happens, he will have to win the rounds convincingly since he will not be getting "I have an O and you don't" favoritism. And this is against a guy who tracks down opponents extremely well, even if Floyd downgrades the "extremely" rating to fairly well, we will see difficult rounds to score at the least.

If Floyd does get Canelo's respect or Canelo's allows him to believe he is, Canelo will most surely have plenty of time to time a big shot as Canelo stays big punch competent for the duration of his fights. I find it very hard for Floyd to have an easy fight with the advantages and boxing factors Canelo brings to the fight.

Alvarez gasses because he can't protect his body.

He's drainig himself fighting at 154 instead of 160 where he belongs...and it was his camp that offered 152
