    Pulev's work rate?

Show me a fight where he's ever thrown as many punches in a round as Tony, or maintained as high a pace for several rounds.

Pulev is a consistent fighter who operates in one gear. That does not equal great stamina.

Technically you are probably correct in that Thompson does sometimes throw up to 70 in a round, which is great, and Pulev probably never throws that much. Thompson may throw a lot in rounds 1,2,3 compared to Pulev, but based on Thompson's last three fights, do you HONESTLY see them trading toe-to-toe in rounds 10, 11, 12 at the same rate?

No, regardless I don't think Pulev has better stamina than Tony.

If Tony jabbed and grabbed like Pulev I see no reason he couldn't operate like Pulev and stop people late.

When Thompson puts his foot on the gas he can literally throw dozens of punches in accurate combination. It's how he's finished most of his fights. Price II, Marinaccio, Krasniqi.

I've never seen Pulev unload literally 40 punches on someone in a minute and a half. He fights at an overly measured pace.

Man I just don't see how Pulev wins this fight unless the judges steal it from Thompson. Why does Pulev get so much hype when all he can do is jab. Pulev's fights are boring as hell to watch on top of that. That jab will not be enough to beat a fighter like Thompson who has been in with the best. Thompson is 41 and this is his third fight this year that crazy. How many 41 year olds can do that. He just fought last month and already back overseas ready for another fight. I don't really want to see Thompson fight Wlad again but Pulev vs. Wlad would be worst. But Povetkin may pull off the upset and shake everything up. Pulev made a mistake fighting Thompson.

Your right no way in hell Thompson gets the win if it goes all 12 even if he floors Pulev 3 or 4 times and slices his face up. Thomson should just put pressure on his ass so he will fold. He should go to Pulevs body as well. Thompson can stop this guy the first half of the fight if he wants to.

Do you think Thompson can win by decision?

Thomson said he is going for the KO and he believes that the bout will be 8 rounds at max. I highly doubt it though - Pulev will be extra cautious this time.

    Pulev is 33 next birthday.

    He has no youth.

Tyson Fury just turned 25, that is young.

    33 is fading.

    Sorry guys.

On the other hand, add the word relative in there and your point is moot. 33 is relatively youthful to 41.

Pulev had a long, extensive amateur career.

Thompson had an almost non-existent amateur career.

Twice as many professional fights + KO losses + 7 years of aging vs long amateur career?

Huge fight for the American Heavyweight scene. Tony is carrying the flag right now. This would be a BIG win if he can pull it off.

Not aware of how a long amateur career can prematurely wear a fighter out?
