    Mendez is leaning back and absorbing Usmanee's flurries on the gloves, or the elbows when Usmanee goes low. Mendez is countering with quick right hands while backing up, pushing out with his left palm to keep a gauge on the distance. Usmanee is pressuring and throwing the kitchen sink but not landing except for a few body shots. Hook behind the ear and right hand above the belt line by Mendez.

    I think Usmanee would be well served to drop those wide hooks and drive straight shots through Mendez' guard when he's on the ropes.

    I have it even so far.

    I can see why. He was very aggressive and finished well - but Mendez did some nice work leaning into the ropes, sneaking in some counters to head and body, not getting touched much.
