Ricky Burns update

Two weeks till the Ray Beltran fight and training camp has gone very well, we've had some excellent sparring for this fight from the likes of Kirk Goodings,Scotty Cardle and Richard Commetty.
Last few days sparring starting monday are with Gary Sykes whos a very talented lad, you will all see a diffrent Burns this time im sure the above lads would confirm that.
Cant wait till the 7th Sept and Burns will kick off a great month for British boxing!

 

There hasn't been much of a promotion yet for this fight, are you happy with that Billy? I think this will be an interesting match up.

 

Any media workouts/signings to promote this fight?

Yes Beltran's a very good fighter but i expect Ricky to beat this guy and send a message over to America, so hopefully we can fight there soon.:good

 

To be fair nearly everyone i know has there tickets people will come out and watch Ricky coz he a class act both in and out the ring

 

Heard you have had Lewis Ritson down sparring a few times, what do you think of him Billy?

why hasnt Ricky ever fought in the states hes been a world champion for nearly 3 years

 

why should he? calzaghe was world champ for 10years before he went to america.

 

Lewis is a very good fighter who has been picking things up nicely and learning each time hes up, very strong lad who's style is perfect for the pros.

Unfortunately John hurt his shoulder in sparring hes very gutted so am i hes a fighter id pay money to watch.Undercard filled with a mixture of Scottish and English talent
