Easy because the referee said so and that's how the sport works. And no, Vitali didn't have the momentum because Lewis won the last round on all 3 scorecards, and within the last 30 seconds, Vitali was drapped all over Lewis after Lewis landed a short right, and he was hanging on for dear life. Why don't you consider watching the fight for once, especially the last round. Better yet, post it onto this site for all to see how close Lewis was to finishing Vitali off just before the end of the 6th round. Maybe then some reality will seep into this thread.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KhIRC9Jm-94 Lennox is the one who had Vitali wobbled at the end of Round 6. If Vitali hadn't held on for dear life he would have fallen. And to think, the dumb-ass commentator said "It's all Lewis could do to stand up!" No, he was trying to back up to give Vitali room to fall. Vitali was the one about to drop. I think this is what some people are remembering when they say how Lewis was ready to be KO'd.
Look you idiotic Klittards its time to face facts...... A barely 80% fit Lewis took on his #1 contender, who was 100% ready, for the title on 10 days notice to save the card being scrapped That 80% Lewis beat the crap out of Klitschko's face. That uppercut from Lennox in the last round nearly decapitated Vitali. He didn't know if he was in Vegas or Vladivostok ROFL An out of shape Lennox whupped up on a 100% ready Vitali what incentive was there for any return??? Lennox kicked Vitali's ass This content is protected
It's there to see. At the 17 second mark (left in the 6th round) Lewis lands and overhand right that wobbles Vitali and has him hanging on for dear life. Lampley looked like an idiot with the comments he made, as he obviously never saw the punch.
Seriously, do Klitschko fans not understand the basic rules of boxing? When a fight is stopped due to a legal punch the guy who couldn't continue losses. It could have been 60-54 for all that it mattered.
Lewis took the fight on 2 weeks notice after a years inactivity and no real training camp to speak of, yet depite this he withstood everything physical prime Vitali threw at him, fought a very close fight as evidenced by the cards and finished the 6th and final round the stronger fighter. So the fact that Vitali wasn't good enough to get the job done remains unchanged
why does it bother you idiots so much that Vitali beat up Lewis, get over it, I've never heard so much bull**** excuses after a fight, do you not get sick of talking about this topic just the fact that most you weird people have watched the fight is enough for me, if you'd only read about the fight on forums then you might have thought it was a different fight entirely by what these LIARS are saying anyone who has watched the fight know Vitali was the real winner, therefore those that are making excuses, etc etc blah blah are complete LIARS I hate dishonesty of any form, Vitali was ahead on all 3 scorecards, was clearly hurting Lewis more, was clearly taking Lewis's shots better, everyone knows Vitali won the fight, the LIARS on here 100% know it too they are just trolling for a reaction
I'm sorry but I cannot see Vitali as "the real winner" when he failed to put Lewis away in the 2nd, failed to up his game when he was cut to knock Lewis out after the 3rd, and ended the fight desperately latching on to Lewis in an attempt to avoid being hit clean by anything. The man came out strong and won the first two rounds easy. By all right should have ended Lewis before the 3rd round. He didn't. He wasn't good enough to do it. This is the truth plain and simple. No lies whatsoever. Vitali at his best couldn't stop Lewis at his worst. That is the bottom line, that is the reason Vitali failed to win that fight, and that is the reality he and his fanboys have had to struggle to come to terms with ever since.
