Good take, and welcome to the board Stiches. Pulev proved he is a top 5 guy. Thompson was a bottom level top 10 guy. Your analysis as to why Pulev took a while to adjust is spot on.

Regarding Thompson, he's very rangy, defensive and take a pretty good punch.

While no one can match Wlad's size, power, speed and skills in the division, Pulev should not be viewed as the next Mormeck or Wach. He's for real, and would be close to even money vs Haye, and maybe a slight favorite over Povetkin.

You could say Pulev would rate as one of Wlad top 5-7 best wins as he is in his prime, earned his ranking, and is a highly rated guy.

you claimed Wlad was fighter with limited skills, if he was, he wouldn't be able to connect 4 times and miss a fifth in 2 seconds with the left hook

the old Soviet boxing school put a great emphasis on the left hook, and Wlad is without doubt a product of that school, just like Povetkin, who also throws them, often in two's or three's and is considered a skillful HW

You watch the fight with Vova? What you guys think.

Also is Pulev possible for the potential Dec fight or will he take a easier one for that and fight Pulev next year?

Don't think I've ever seen anyone with a rock solid resume as unimpressive as him.

Both Chris Byrd and Peter Fury seem impressed by Pulev:

Pulev is good fighter, but Vlad is too much for him at this time. Vitali and Vlad are extremely underrated fighters..............
