He will almost assuredly take on the Arreola vs. Mitchell winner. It's possible that he takes an interim bout before then. Don't be surprised if he ends up fighting for the vacant WBA regular title or the vacant WBC within the next year.

Yes he will. They're both Haymon fighters. It shouldn't be hard to get a deal done.

a heavyweight american olympic medalist who is 29-0 and 29 KOS and he is an undercard fighter who has never fought a guy under a 75 rating on box rec.
theres a reason for that. hes not gonna go from fighting an old shot white wolf who had lost 4 of his last 6 to fighting a guy like arreolla

Obviously if he could get Adamek it would be ideal. Doubt Main Events allows it.

Next up Wach would be good.... not so much risk in losing but should go some rounds given Wach's chin, also would be a recent Wlad opponent. Best thing though is that Wilder would be able to get some rounds in. The reason Wach instead of Guinn in terms of getting rounds, is Wach will come to win and will come forward. Guinn has a chance to make it a bit on the dreary side. HBO and GBP want to keep the Wilder hype going, and if they are gonna have someone who will take Wilder some rounds, it would probably be someone who will be coming forward, but also with little chance of winning.

Both fights would be good for Wilder right now, imo.

Adamek for the hype, Wach for the rounds.

I expect Wilder fights at least 2 more times before taking on a serious threat (Arreola, Chisora, a lower top 10 contender)

He just signed with Haymon. I'm not sure why he would do that if his handlers weren't looking to get him better fights. He's been getting more attention, and his promoter says he wants to match him against the Arreola/Mitchell winner. Guys guide their careers at different paces and with different strategies. A lot of people were impatient with Ward's development a few years back. He went from fighting stiffs to a past it Miranda to Kessler very quickly. I could be wrong, but all signs point to Wilder taking on legit fighters in the near future.

That's fine, but if he was content to keep doing that, why would he sign with Haymon as he recently did? His handlers obviously think he's ready for bigger fights. I don't know what type of success Wilder will have, but it looks like the days of him fighting cans are coming to an end. I completely understand if anyone is skeptical of him stepping it up, but that's what looks like is going to happen to me. We'll see what happens.

Even an old washed up Oliver McCall would give Wilder a problem.............Vlad mentioned fighting Wilder in the near future. After Vitali knocks out Stiverne, perhaps he would go ahead an knock Wilder out before he retires.........

He won't fight Adamek. No chance. That is a guy that would make him look silly. Adamek is an active fighter with immense experience and a good chin.

he should fight Chauncey welliver. he's better than most of wilders opponents to date, and is durable. would also have hilarious money messer posts predicting a welliver ko.

Don't know much about Wilder but did see Liak stoppage and I don't like the false bravado- Arreola may make him cry

Wilder's management might actually go for a Klitschko fight if the money was right. They seem to be interested in building him up and then cashing him out before some live body exposes his glass jaw, so this would fit.

It's pretty obvious that, after five years of facing nothing but tomato cans, that Wilder's management isn't interested in fighting anything other than washed up former fringe contenders before going for the big money.

Would a Klitschko really accept this kind of fight? I don't think so. They know Wilder doesn't deserve a payday like this yet
