I forget where I read it but some of the gameplay of Floyd is to turn up the intensity and turn Canelo's physical attributes against him. Floyd is quicker and he's going to get in and out of danger relatively easy on fight night. Lesser fighters have had Canelo sucking wind out of his mouth by round 4 and now he's fighting Floyd? Easy work.

 

Canelo is a red-headed mexican...he is a sideshow that people pay just to look at.

With his game...if he looked like Angulo or any other mestizo... he'd be fighting on Telemundo...

10-15 percent of my action on this fight will be floyd by tko/ko/dq.

hes not going to one punch ko alvarez like hatton or manfredy but more of a gatti or corrales-type stopaage where canelos corner knows that there is no hope and no reason for him to take unneeded punishment when saul has nothing left in the tank after the eigth round.

floyds going for the ko on 9/14 because he knows there is a chance that the gbp judges could rob him...like stanley christodoulou who had canelo impossibly up by nine points(complete shutout) after eight rounds agasint trout.

 

Trout's jab opened up his right to Canelito's weak tummy....he did that ALL NIGHT.

He's not the one with his hands down and mouth open:deal...that would be lazy.

 

hes not that bad of a fighter and hes much, much better than telemundo.

hes just not that good and most people on this forum now realize that.

with the gbp judges, he goes 3-2 against rosado, james, vanes, lara and molina.

he will never fight 160 until its a cash-out payday which will probably be in three more years if not less.

 

I'm in agreement that I think Austin won the fight, but to me, the jab was not an authoritative jab. Floyd is going to start hitting him in the solar plexus from round 1. By round 5, Canelo will be visibly winded and then the right hand lead will start to land, if it hasn't by then.

 

Trout's jab to the belly was killing Canelo..Floyd's will crucify him.

Trout's jab kept Canelo outside and nullified..it also set up his rights to the tummy...all night.

Trout throws TONS of jabs....of all varieties..some he sticks hard...others range finders...some he fires from an up angle while others he fires straight down the pipe.

You don't know what he's going to do with that thing.

Cotto had to fight Trout....Canelito didn't.

Cotto could have EASILLY pulled off a "Texas victory" if he had the cards in Alvarez' deck.:deal

I like Canelo's chances. He's a young, big, and he has boxing skills to go along with it.

Unlike several of Mayweather recent opposition, Canelo is one that can rough Mayweather up with just his physicality in situations where Mayweather wants rest on the ropes.

Other than having gained valuable experience the Trout fight technically will not factor into this Mayweather fight simply because its a different style matchup.

I'm one that was'nt very impressed with Canelo vs Trout, but Trout is a differenct fighter. Of most importance, Trout's a southpaw that throws more punches than Mayweather does.
Canelo from imo was uncomfortable against Trouts southpaw stance, and that was a big part of the reason why his punch output was so low.
I think he'll step that output up vs Mayweather.

Mayweather imo will have to fight a very conservative fight against Canelo as he did vs DLH. He's going to be forced to because he'll feel right away that taking chances against Canelo is'nt good for his health.

That's not a strategy, that's a prayer. Let's hope Floyd gets old. He's whipping everyone's ass in camp. Before the fall of many others, we hear about the boxer getting worked in camp. J'Leon Love said his boy got worked in the all access video. Ashley said on numerous occasions on his blog that Floyd is waxing everyone. Or when everyone was arguing over who Floyd gave the worst asswhipping. I can go on and on. Father time does not come September 14th.

 

Alvarez...despite his clean image...is a live-wire and a potential liability...

His cowardly assault against featherweight Archie Solis would have landed him in prison if he were American.

He messed Solis up badly and all but ruined his boxing career.He'd be sued into poverty had that happened here.
