    I think Roberto Duran, but that's just me and that's IMHO. Who do YOU think was the greatest not naming Sugar Ray Robinson?

    Mohammed Ali is the greatest from 1970-1980
    Ray Leonard is the greatest from 1980-1990 (Duran honorable mention)
    Roy Jones Jr. is the greatest from 1990-2000 (Whitaker/Chavez honorable mention)
    Floyd Mayweather is the greatest from 2000-2010 (Pacquiao honorable mention)

    I find it's easier to place a guy in there respectiver eras than to say all time greatest as it is so hard to compare people who lived and fought in seperate timeframes.

    Sam Langford
    Henry Armstrong
    Harry Greb
    Benny Leonard
    Roberto Duran
    Sugar Ray Leonard
    Rocky Marciano
    Joe Louis
    Muhammed Ali
    Willie Pep

    It bemuses me how anyone can start a thread asking who was the greatest, but your not allowed to mention Walker Smith.
