Duran got fat, and SRL had him fighting out of shape, but Duran quit like a *****! Why did he quit actually? Or was it a combination of both?

(And BTW, I try not to make stupid mistakes anymore, like I thought pound for pound was moving up in weight while it was comparing fighters regardless of weight class, and I'm new here.)

    None of the above.

Leonard was playing the role of a Clown...the only thing missing was the round red nose...Duran wanted no part of it!!!

SRL was making him look like a fool by clowning him (while beating him)
embarrassing him in front of a zillion people....and it was only the 8th round of a scheduled 15....

Didn't Duran say he had the "Bubblies" & had to take a ****.
(That Bolo punch must have jogged something loose)

Every girl I've ever showed that fight to was like, why is the black guy running? Why doesn't he stand and fight? You mean the black guy is WINNING the fight? WHAT?

Blame Leonard for guys like Cory Spinks and Zahir Raheem.

Frustration, anger, humiliation, inability to get into a real fight, embarrassment ... all of the above. But I don't think Duran was thinking "I can't take this beating" - maybe he was like, wow my legs don't work, this is shameful. Maybe cramps too.

he had stomach cramps after balooning up to 220 pounds after first beating leonard... leonard himself is quoted as saying he saw how big and out of shape he was and he knew to strike as soon as possible

duran thought "i gave him a rematch, he will give me one"

Too many excuses out there. The bottom line is he was losing and quit like a *****. That's one thing that can't be denied. All of that about him being out of shape is bull****. A fighter being in shape is part of boxing, stamina is important. That's on him and can't be used as an excuse, it shows a lack of discipline if anything.
