I'd say Froch cos his defense is shitter and gets cracked more, usually bang on the chin which would put most fighters into orbit, for some reason he can take the fvckers.
Both have excellent chins, but I'd probably say Froch. As others have indicated, Froch's defense isn't as good as Calzaghe's and so his chin has been tested more.
Thats exactly the way i see it. But who knows. In his legendary 46-0 streak, only time i can remember him being seriously hurt was by an illegal forearm. That shot hurt him bad, but he got up Froch's chin maybe more proven, but the Newbridge Assassin's could well be just as solid
Calzaghe might have had as good of a chin, but he didn't rely on it as much as Froch does. I'll give Froch the nod, but only because he gets touched up more than Joe ever did.
You'd have to say Froch because he's been tagged a lot more than Calzaghe ever did because of his bad defence. But Calzaghe also had an excellent chin and both have taken big shots in their careers without ever really getting hurt too much.
froch has better chin/legs since joe got dropped a lot more (and whenever he stepped up to frochs level of opps). calzaghe had good recovery, he tends to get straight up from his several knockdowns in his stepupfights whilst froch its difficult to say since hes barely ever been floored when he steps up. recovery is partially about good cardio, oddly enough. cals cardio was excellent, he must have trained ten times as hard as everyone else to get it that good. so gotta be froch, froch got hit a lot more with little apparent damage, calzaghe got hit a fair bit too but not as much, and was dropped more often.
Calzaghe had nothing resembling a granite chin. He got dropped by an ghost RJJ and a 43 year old Hopkins. He's been dropped by NOBODIES. His chin is average at best.
he never got dropped for about 20 years in over a 100 fights, he only got dropped right at the end, he had a solid chin and you know it so quit trolling you ****ing *****yhole net nerd no one can be successful the way Calzaghe was with an 'average chin' like your saying , having a good chin is needed to be a great fighter, and calzaghes granite chin was one of the many reasons that he had a great career
Froch has taken a lot of heavy punches, so I give him that. Calzaghe did not take many punches, his defense was too good.
He got dropped by two ABSOLUTE BUMS in Byron Mitchell and Kabary Salem. Then he gets dropped by an ANCIENT Bhop and a beyond shot to **** RJJ? This guy doesn't have anything resembling a granite chin. This is a myth purported by idiotic brittards. True Iron Chinned Warriors don't get dropped by the BUMS calslappy has been dropped by. Deal with it.
