I am impressed by the number of so few registered fighters, compared to the success ratio's that these nations produce. While the U.S. has an overwhelming advantage in total numbers of registered pro boxers, you would conclude that the U.S. should go 5-10 deep in every weightclass. At least the ones with limits above the weight of your average female. Of course in the U.S. the average female could barely make LHW.

I am amazed the Eastern Europeans do as well as they do with so few active pro fighters. The percentages are quite staggering if one researches them.

Are you going to be fair with your treatment of Usyk and Lomachenko or is your mind already make up?

that just means theyve had 1 really good boxer at the games
they don't win enough medals to be compared with Ukraine, Russia and Cuba

They've had good to very good amateurs for a while along with Uzbekistan and Azerbaidjan, and Mongolia if we go further east.

thers a lot of fators in these things, i think it's important that boxing is a smaller sport now, cycling is even smaller and there are currently 3 world class british cyclists, prior to that there were barely 3 in 100 years.

kazakhstan are quite good but the others won 2 or 3 bronzes combined at the last olympics, nothing to shout about at all

    at the moment it's
    1. Ukraine
    2. Cuba
    3. Russia
    4. Great Britain
    5. Ireland
    6. Kazakhstan

( ^they are clearly the top 6 nations in amateur boxing at the moment)

+1 Even at the heavier divisions

No, I think Central-Asia (Kazazstan, Uzbek, Kryz etc) will come to be regarded as the "New" Eastern-Europe. The talent thats coming out of the Stan' places looks to be the new frontier of boxing contenders.

yes Ireland are doing brilliantly in boxing for a population of just 6 million as well.

its funny your just talking about Kazakhstan, I'm just about to watch Celtic play the kazak team Shakhtar Karagandy in the EUROPEAN champions league play offs. C'mon the celts!

Im sorrry but your talking deluded bubbles your obvioulsy some type of asian yourself

China are ridiculously awful at boxing, especially considering their population, the whole of asia is really crap at boxing, the asian championships are really weak, there is only Kazakhstan if you classs them as an asia country - I class it as european, and half their boxers are of russian descent anyway.

if you talking about strong nations at boxing it has to be the 6 I mentioned , no other countries can be called strong

Ukraine are by far an away producing the best boxers at the moment
their team is so fuucking strong it's unbelievable

    Haha nice try

The Kazak's are neither russian nor asian, tho I suspect you would wish the former, It would probably suit the agenda you have against boxers from certain groups. Mr WN:hi:

Talented boxers are coming from all sorts of places in 2013, the next breakthrough will be the Stan's an you'll see it at the WC this year.

    Ive heard it all now!

****stan are brilliant aren't they

come on mate you can't fool people with your trolling

Kyrgyzstan have never ever won a single medal at the olympics in boxing
Uzbekistan have only ever 1 medal ( a bronze) at the olympics in boxing:lol:

these countries ^ can't fight to save their lives
just getting to the quarter finals is like an achievement for these countries, that's their equivalent to gold

don't put them in the same sentence as Cuba, Russia, Ukraine, etc your just embarassing yourself

why you mad that your country can't fight

Yeah, but each year they send out strong teams that do well in the international meetups. They always have a few guys that get to the top in those tournaments.
Also I regard "strength" not just in having the best boxer, but also having depth in all weight classes. An that is an achievement when you consider the relative size of these S'tan countries.

They're very well represented in Amateur boxing.

its extreme wishful thinking by yourself
those 2 have 1 bronze medal between them yet you think they are gonna dominate at the WC's hahha they don't hav a chance mate, where your from shouldnt make you biased towards them.
They are simply not good enough, your achievement standards are really low
size has nothing to do with it, Ireland, Wales, and Cuba have really small populations yet do well

quality over quantity and medals over 2nd round and quarter finals - every day of the week

and kazakhstan are OK but they are like aston villa , they are never on the level of man u, chelsea, etc - aka russia, cuba, ukraine
