Marcos Maidana will answer that question for us .

  3. Bad comparison, Paulie is crap mate. Weakest one out the lot, hence why he is frequently picked as a stepping stone or for fighters to test themselves when moving up.

Ward, Froch and Bute are not in that category.

  4. He can't be that good if you're getting your head boxed off Hatton and Khan, and they both took the Paulie fight because they knew he wasn't that good.

Yes Broner is a legit. The guy is exciting and good for the sport can fight on the inside goes to the body has good pop and good defense. He's not PBF not in his class but he's better than most and will beat the **** outta Maidana that's for damn sure and then you'll have another 20 threads clogging up the forum about how I can't wait til he gets KTFO. I can't wait.

This is exactly Broner's situation. Is he talented? Sure. Does he have a solid skill set? Yes. Is he on the same level as Floyd? Nope, not even close.

So what if he's not on Floyd's level???

If we're gonna' hate him for that we might as well hate everybody in boxing and just watch hockey fights in the NHL.

But that the strawman right there, isn't it.

I don't believe I've ever heard even the most over-the-top Broner fan claim he's on Mayweather's level.

But what I DO see, is those who don't like the kid seem to see EVERYTHING, whether in or out of the ring, related to Broner through the same bitter lens through which they hate Mayweather.

The boy can fight. Period. Look at what he's accomplished in his career so far compared to a similar aged and talented pro like Gary Russell Jr. Not alot of 'Hype Jobs' get that far that quick.

    :good

I like when they call him flat-footed..
If he moved a lot they'd call him a chicken and a runner.

Broner stays in the pocket..you'd think they'd like that...but nooo.

    He's only 3 fights removed from 130:deal

    AMAZING

If his name were Adrian Benitez or Adnan Bzinsksy they'd LOVE HIM:hi:

People don't hate him for that, they hate him because he has chosen to be the spokesperson for thug nignogs.

Thug black culture is a vile plague, it should be eradicated. Why the hell should we not hate a culture that promotes such trash? Its worse than the KKK.

They don't work, they steal, they rob, they murder, they ****, they bankrupt, and they spread filth.

You don't see white athletes representing this type of culture, so why do you think we should all love a black athlete doing it?

Broner wants to get paid by all the people who want to see him KTFO, he is throwing blacks under the buss by doing so. If anyone should hate Broner, its blacks because he is just reinforcing the stereotype that blacks are thugs.

White people love good honest respectful black people, not this hot pile of shat.

  14. Just look at what Mayweather senior had to say.

    Broner fought nothing but stiffs.
once he fights a real fighter that shoulder roll is going out the window
    He doesn't roll punches.

Its on boxing scene. Not even Floyd senior sees Adrian broner as a n elite fighter

I feel like you have good intentions with this post, and I understand where you're coming from.

But the problem is, Broner doesn't speak or act for all black people no more than Aaron Gonzalez acts for all Hispanic people, or any other white athlete or criminal represent all white people.

Broner is himself. His own corney-ass self. So why is it that if a white dude does something focked-up it doesn't reflect on his whole race. he's just a crazy white guy. The minute someone black does something ridiculous, people start talking about the culture as a whole.

But back to the main point of the thread: Broner is the real deal no matter how much people hate him. No one wants to give the guy credit for being only 23 years old while winning a belt at 130, 135, and all the way up to 147. Very few people in the history of boxing have come close to this, especially at his age.

Does he talk too much ****? Yeah he does, but unless you're a sensitive *****, you have no business using that as a barometer for his success. You should be able to objectively judge his fights despite of his antics outside of the ring.
