Andrzej Wawrzyk - the worst title challenger of all time?

    I mean, seriously. Guy is known for the worst chin in HW division, knocked down hard (almost ko'd) by 1-14 (0 KO) opponent (I've seen that fight). Got knocked down vs cruiserweight Harvey Joley 14-20 (7 KOs).

    Was almost stopped few times against shot jorneyman Denis Bakhtov (its his best win, though I think Bakhtov was robbed as he hurt Wawrzyk badly 3 or 4 times and was never in trouble).

    Never beat any top-50 fighter (best win is gifted win vs shot Denis Bakhtov)

    And his peak performance was on par with beyond shot Hasim Rahman vs WBA paper beltholder Povetkin. Stopped early, knocked down with the first good punch.

    Andrzej Wawrzyk makes Owen Back look like true contender.

    Andrzej Wawrzyk is definetly the worst HW boxer in history, there is no doubt. I wonder how Andreas Sidon could lose against this guy. How did he even get a fight against Povetkin?? :lol:
    He is a disgrace to boxing and should retire. He can't win against anyone of the Top 50 and since Povetkin finally destroyed his spirit, I doubt he can beat anyone in the Top 100.

    When I step up into HW, I want this guy as opponent!

    He fought Brian Magee for the interim WBA 168lb title, and it was the worst super middleweight title contest of all time, bar none.

    He lost clearly to Magee, then dropped two consecutive unanimous decisions to unbeaten prospects before getting off the canvas to beat a third one - and that somehow vaulted him back into another opportunity, again challenging for the same interim WBA super middleweight title, against Stas Kashtanov this go-around. He was knocked out in ten.

    Wawrzyk was not the worst challenger.

    He may have the worst chin of any HW challenger in history, but he also has some decent boxing skills.

    There have been many poor world title challengers.

    2x. I wondered if someone notices it.

    We had 4 major organization, each with "world" title, but apparently for WBA it was not enough to have one title so it split somehow its title into two. And here we are talking about the weaker one.
