Great that Showtime now forces him to fight opponents that the fans, haters and casuals want to see.

Mike from LA is a fcucking idiot and knows nothing about the sport. Saying PBF ducked Zoo who fought for a Showtime a rival network to HBO tells you everything you need to know about him.

I don't think anyone 'forces' Floyd to do anything

Showtime can't and hasn't forced him to do anything.

Yes they can and they did. Believe or not, they're more powerful than TMT.

Floyd is always free to stop fighting....

EDIT : if Floyd didn't want the canelo fight, it wouldn't have been made. but it got made fast

The deal Myweather signed with them doesn't allow them to force Mayweather to do anything.

    If Tony REALLY wanted Floyd...

All he had to do was dump his WBO crap-strap...that would have made him Floyd's MANDITORY....:deal

    Another thing.

Floyd AGREED to the 8 million to fight Margarito:hi:....what he DID NOT agree to was 6 million for Hatton and 6 Million for Cotto..

Mayweather's counter-offer was 10 million each for Hatton and Cotto since they had MUCH bigger fanbases....and 20 million to fight Oscar.

Arum RAN to the media and laid this famous egg:

"Mayweather is delusional...the money isn't there...sometimes you gotta' know when to hold them and when to fold them"

That's when Floyd bought out his contract and left Arum the bitter,broken,fight-killing cancer on the sport we see today.:deal

WOULD YOU FIGHT HATTON FOR LESS THAN MARGARITO:think

    Be
    Honest..

That's like fighting Ali for less money than Chuck Wepner...

"We accept fighters X, X or X. Which one, team Mayweather?"

    It's like that.

No it isn't. Furthermore, Mayweather can opt out whenever he wants.

....Tell me Cintron is not really on that list....

  14. Showtime did pressure Floyd into taking the Canelo fight. Floyd wanted 147. Denied. 150. Denied. Canelos camp accepted 152.

They lost 12 million on the Ghost fight. It's no coincidence they are now setting up Floyd next opponent on the card also, so that fight can sell.

Floyd's resume was good already before he exited the first time. but really, how could a fighter retire at that point in their career when those fights that would further define your greatness are on the table? did he really think beating hatton at 147 made him an atg at that point?

Floyd shot himself in the foot trying to rematch Oscar in 2008. He was willing to fight on in 2008 if he was facing Oscar but if he'd be facing Cotto or Tony? nope, can't do it retirement and Wrestlemania instead :rofl

A thread like this exposes the thread starter as being... hmm, one who fabricates the truth and builds things up to further push his/her agenda.
