Andrzej Wawrzyk - the worst title challenger of all time?

Shouldn't **** on Wawrzyk because of this.

Should **** on the people who are behind this happening, Wawrzyk just cashed in, like anyone else would.

I just re-watched Wawrzyk-Povetkin. Wawrzyk had a bloody nose in round two. After the second knockdown, even though his face was marked up and his chest was bloodied, he still wanted to continue. After the third knockdown, despite being badly hurt he got up again, then the ref saved him from himself.

Sure, Andrzej doesn't have a good chin, but in his 30 fights before Povetkin, he got up off the canvas and came back to win several times. He was hurt bad against Bakhtov, but then came back to do well in the later rounds.

Andrzej Wawrzyk has a lot of heart, there's no quit in him. He's FAR from the worst title challenger of all time.

 

I don't understand how this fight was allowed to happen. Ever since his early wins over Byrd and Chambers, Pov has been regressing badly, at least in his choice of opposition. This is very poor fighter management. I mean he used Wawrzyk as a tuneup for Wlad.

 

If he was 29-0 29 (Ko's) people would of claimed Wawrzyk was the best Heavyweight prospect in the World.

Wawrzyk has beat better fighters than Wilder has sadly. Devin Vargas was a U.S Olympic boxer 18-1 record. Tomasz Bonin 41-2 was David Haye's first fight at Heavy. Bahktov is an upper-level journeymen 36-8 record, 32 years old. Wilder fights guys that are old, shot to hell, and shouldn't even be licensed to fight any more.

Did you people notice Steven Seagal sitting next to Vitali Klitschko ringside at the Povetkin vs Wawrzyk fight?

I think his management team knows something about him we don't. they wanted to buy some time against Wladimir, but meanwhile they haven't actually built him up against the type of opposition he needs to prepare.
Actually thought Wawrzyk might be the guy to test him, with his height, jab an movement. But he threw almost nothing, an went down to the 1st counter right that landed... against Wladimir will be nothing like that.

 

When you get that fight, come and tell us....

Not too many of us like Wawzryk, but we'd still it'd be cool to see him look like a young hungry Mike Tyson for at least one fight.

 

Wawzryk would undoubtedly win that fight if the two were to meet.:deal

 

Still it's the Super WBA belt that hold recognition in the Heavyweight divison. So rest asured, he was no world title challenger.

 

Milton Nunez is a very solid MW banger. He very nearly beat former Champion Deante Latimore.
Not the soundest of skillsets, but very game and strong as an oxe. Very suitable for fighting for a vacant interim title.:think
