How does this piece of garbage work for espn and HBO? Alot of the powers that be in charge of hiring decision are dumb but the fact this guy has any credibility is beneath even their intellect:patsch or one would hope:huh This article came out after Butler sucker punched Grant, an incident which most people here are familiar with. This guy's stupidity got his brother waxed in the long-run, as max maintained a frienship with butler who wound up living with max's brother and hamering him to kingdom come.

Much as glass chins are discussed so are bad announcers and this guy needs to be permanently banned from calling any boxing matches in the future.

He actually made some good points in that article. The fact that Butler would later go on to kill Kellerman's brother doesn't change that.

Yes it does. By his logic Butler's mental state when he was hammering his brother into the next life should be taken into consideration, and butler should receive the proper treatment, be rehabilitated and ultimately be allowed on the street. Like he says in the article, where he pleads for leniency for Butler, "Moderation should be shown" and since butler pleaded to second-degree he should serve only a few more years before he's free to hang out with Max. RUMBLE YOUNG MAN RUMBLE?:-(

You're talking about two entirely separate incidents. It's a cheap ploy to try to lump the two together.

That article is old as ****. The reason he was defending Butler was because him and his brother were friends with him for 10 years. He didn't realize that he was going to hammer his brother to death.

just trying to get street 'cred' I suppose. Butler should never be allowed out again. I can't imagine the pain Max feels about it. Very tragic situation. Although I am not a big fan of Max, I'm glad he's put his life back together.

Haha, great find. What a humiliating article. Someone should write an article defending Butler using Kellerman's same rat-logic.

"Well, a hammer isn't a weapon compared to a gun."

"This was just one monumentally stupid act - Butler has never murdered anyone before."

"Butler should be released and put under behavioral review."

"He's just a working stiff who deserves a second chance."

Max Kellerman is a credit to boxing, his IQ & boxing knowledge is amongst the best of this generation. He will only become a bigger name in boxing as he ages and matures...Boxing TV needs people like him, he is exactly where he belongs...Rude critics belong to the forums & columns :yep
