I dont why people keep using this fight as an example of why Alavarez will lose to floyd .

Floyd is NOTHING like Trout .

Trout is a 170+ pound BIG Jr middleweight , Floyd is NOT even a TRUE WW .

Trout is young in his 20's , hes nowhere near 36 so he still has youth , Floyd DOESN'T .

Trout is a southpaw , Floyd is NOT .

    Trout has a high workrate , Floyd doesn't .

Trout was pumping 30 jabs into Canelo face every single round which cause him to tired . Floyd will be fighting cautious as hell so he wont think about trying that .

Trout is a COMPLETELY DIFFERENT fighter compared to Floyd .

    I agree w this.

Canelo fans saw what they wanted and bought whatever the announcers said.

    Why would he do that?

That's a terrible idea. Canelo is a good counterpuncher, and often throws a counter preceding a combination.

Floyd wants to limit his output against Canelo.

Jab to the head, jab to the solar plexus, from round one. Repeatedly. Watch. Empty that gas tank early.

Those are single shots though. That's what Floyd should do. He should also feint a jab to the body and throw a hook upstairs.

But he can't go "Fight Night Champion" on Alvarez, and just stay low throwing 5 body jabs in a row.

In real life, you get knocked out if you do that.

I agree he has to jab, but he shouldn't throw anymore than two punches at a time, and only one to the body.

If he does, I'm on record stating Mayweather will get stopped!

Austin Trout was the clear #2 JMW, only behind Canelo (and not counting Floyd since he had the WW fight with Guerrero scheduled). Canelo knocked him down and won the fight. Don't know how that is not impressive especially when considering that most of the self entitled boxing experts on this site raved for weeks about how Trout was going to thoroughly dominate him... and then those posters ran off to another forum, haha. Good for them.

That sounds like the wrong thing to do against canelo who has a strong counter but Floyd has to win the rounds convincingly

Floyd easy UD. It's gonna be a snore fest, I think floyd plays it easy in the beginning of the fight, waits for him to gas which WILL happen. Then puts on the pressure. Canelo as everyone who faces floyd has a punchers chance, but the act of landing that punch on the absolute best defensive fighter. Good luck with that!

I love Pac and Floyd, you can't over look floyds skill.

I saw canelo win 3-4 rounds tops. Didnt throw or land enough to win rounds and gassed in the round he dropped trout and ran the rest of the way.
