    That would be really sweet.

    Classic boxer versus puncher match-up.

I agree. He is a good fighter with power. But still Looks a Little bit raw for me. Clearly has the Tools to do something but now he isnt on the same Level of guys like Mchunu or Makabu. But also he has a good win over Kiladze who was in talks to join Sauerland after showing good Sparring with Huck.

Fields' only prior loss was via TKO10 at the hands of Olawale Afolabi.

Makabu took only half as long as Ola - and only really fought with any serious conviction for half of that amount of time.

    Impressive result; Fields was game.

Afolabi isnt a big Puncher for me. But yeah still a very impressiv win. But also Shows that Makabus last Opponent had an iron chin. He was able to absorb everything Makabu threw at him.

Mwekassa vs Kilanga would make for a good match up too.
The first that gets brutally knocked out loses.

That was a coming out of jail former journeyman/contender in Dunstan but that was still a pretty nice ko .

I dont say that Afolabi cant Punch. He clearly has heavy Hands but if he would be a big Puncher Huck never would have been able to take These big ass shots from Afolabi like he did in the second fight. I mean Afolabi landed big ass hayemakers he hurt Huck but he didnt dropp. If Afolabi lands his big shots he can KO many fighters but many times you see Afolabi missing with them.
How do you see Makabu vs Wlod? This would be a war 100% Cant miss that fight.

He isn't a KO artist, no, but I consider him very heavy-handed.

He was able to get teak-tough Huck's respect many times in their rivalry, many shots putting Huck at full attention if not alert bordering on panic. (though he was never in gravely dire straits or anything)

Fields had also begun to gas already in the late going, so he withstood a fair amount of punishment from Afolabi before succumbing after rising from the canvas several times.

Kucher is very sturdy, and is usually better than what he showed in the loss to Makabu.

No clue at all, same for M'chunu, was it because of Chambers' transition or is M'chunu just that good ? :think
I thought Chakhkiev would beat Diablo convincingly yet look what happened, even though i still think he could have won had he measured the pace and tried to win rather than looking for the knockout.
Makabu is more active and takes a shot well but so was Rakhim.

Before the Wlod fight People said (on a german boxing Forum) that Rakhim will have Problems with his chin and gas tank. I think it showed against Wlod. I said Wlod would win just because These guys said that. (one of them had a friend who was part of the Chakhkiev fight).
But Makabu didnt showed Stamina Problems or a bad chin so far. But Wlod is very very tough and also can Punch. I think it would be a war. Couldnt say who would win. I hope this fight gets made. But maybe Wlod will move to heavyweight. Better Money fights out there for him I think.

It's fair to say the jury is still out regarding Mchunu, but we have more evidence of Makabu really being the goods.

He is on a nice run in his last six.

Pedro Otas was another Brazilian with a padded record but in his one previous step up he made it as far as the ninth with known hard puncher Jackson Junior (who usually gets rid of victims in the 1st or 2nd). That one is on Youtube, offering some more "eye test".

Gbenga is a prototypical Ghanaian, fairly durable. Case in point: after Makabu became the first to stop him Gbenga drained all the way down to light heavy - 15 pounds south of his weight for Makabu - and went the distance with Andre Dirrell in spite of basically serving as clay pigeon for the much faster athlete.

Then you have two unknown but previously undefeated KO victims.

Then Kucher, whom everybody in the know had already rated.

...and now Fields, who isn't special but solid...and both tested Makabu's chin for us and confirmed his power. :good

I don't know, he was gassed from the fourth looking desperately for the stoppage after he realized he f'ed up and still hung in there until the 8th.
I think the version (whether it was an enhanced one or not) of Jones against Lebedev sweeps the whole division and if not, they have their work cut out for them if they challenge the hawk. :happy:toney
