Lucas Matthysse and Timothy Bradley have been sparring together for their upcoming fights... Bradley quotes:

“That dude [Matthysse] can punch like a monster. Nobody has no idea how hard he hits…this dude can punch. Danny Garcia is definitely going to have his hands full…I still favor Garcia, but Matthysse is a special type of cat…my money is still on Garcia…Matthysse hit harder than [Ruslan] Provodnikov. Dude had 20 ounce gloves on and dude was hitting.”

Bradley said that he’s weighing around 160 lbs. and had a weight advantage over Matthysse in the sparring session. Even with the big oversized gloves on, Bradley said he was getting moved around by Matthysse’s shots, and he could still feel the power from the blows.

Take what fighters say about guys who knocked them down or out with a grain

Maybe the whole sparring with Matthysse was to prove that Provodnikov didn't really hurt him. Then they say whatever they want to say to distract off the main deep seated desire to downplay the guy who had him hurt

I don't think he rembers how hard Provo hit him for obvious reasons.

Timothy statement had only one purpose (Provodnikov didn't hurt the real me :yep )

So he doesn't sound like another Sour grape, or worse use the old "the opponent that didn't knock me down was the hardest puncher I ever faced"

Timothy got creative, he mixed an undisputed well known fact that doesn't need to be mentioned (Matthysse is a hard hitter). Thus making sure his statement is atleast partially accepted :deal

Then he added a shock value opinion as a distraction "Garcia will win!"

Finally he sneaked in the message that been bothering his ego: Provodnikov hits lighter than Matthysse...I had difficulty surviving Matthysse sparring...But I was no where near being knocked down...Thus I can easily walk through Provindkov if I ever face him again

Conclusion...Provindkov faced the weakest version of me...I am no longer doubting myself :hi:

Great point. Fighters do this all the time. Im not saying that's what Tim is doing, but it very well could be.

Bradley needs sparing partners that hit hard,JMM is coming for him.
This is the real test for Both. JMM wins this fight and he will have the ! on his legacy
Bradley wins and he can write his own ticket, with back to back wins Pac and JMM, not matter how close the fights are perceived, he will be the guy to beat at 147

Even on their deathbed majority of fighters push the name of the guy they beat to be the hardest puncher they faced. Blocked memory or something to do with pride..

Obviously, Top Rank and Golden Boy have their beefs when it comes to putting together fights or cards. Good to know that at least it doesn't extend down to sparring with each other.
