I can confirm that duke has passed away. Had news sent to me about half hour ago. Rest in peace duke, thanks for the memories

 

"Sad news today as former Heavyweight Boxing Champion Tommy Morrison has died at the age of 44. The news has been confirmed by his wife Trisha following “The Duke’s” declining health over the past year due to a courageous battle with Miller Fisher Syndrome/Guillain Barre Syndrome.

According to “The Duchess”, Morrison passed away at 11:50 PM on September 1st. The cause of death was respiratory and metabolic acidosis and multiple organ failure. Funeral arrangements have not yet been made."

His official passing probably needs its own thread. It is starting to make the rounds on news outlets, and Trish herself posted it on their facebook, so this is definatley the real deal and not another rumor.

I am wondering if there will be an official cause of death / explanation, and not what she says. I am wondering who is responsible for releasing the official cause of death. It doesn't really matter, just hopefully to finally bring closure over all the debate on whether or not he had HIV..

yet its not been confirmed by any major news organization. MMA Dirt.com hardly counts as a news source. ESPN just ran a huge story on his declining health last week yet they dont have 1 story about his death.
So i dont believe it....it would have been all over the news , not on some blog website for MMA

 

So far, all that's been reported comes from one very questionable source. I will wait until it's reported by reputable news organizations before I take this as being accurate.

Looks official. Here it is on ESPN. I'm hoping that there will no longer be any confusion as to how he died, but it looks like there very well could be.
