Does the blueprint to beat Mayweather really exist?

I wonder how Winky Wright would have fared against floyd, great jab, smart doesnt have the speed but it could have been interesting

 

Not to beat him but to be difficult there is

To beat him you have to adjust and adapt with him

Unless someone does a sugar Shane and finds one opening and exploits it

 

Castillo beat him IMO.

Floyd is beatable but u have to be a real special fighter to do it.

- 2004-2005 version of Winky Wright @ ww / cw.
- 1997 version of ODLH @ ww.

Now its a weak era in boxing especially in the ww division.

 

^^ I don't think any of those fighters could beat Floyd. And the Castillo I match, Floyd was still a very young fighter who needed more experience against a guy who had over 50 fights under his belt and was the primary sparring partner for the great Caesar Chavez.

A prime Floyd would beat all of those guys you mentioned, no doubt about it. A fight with Winky Wright or Paul Williams would've been very interesting to see though, their styles would give him a good match.

 

I think Duran causes Floyd headaches, but not a "Duran" style boxer - just Roberto himself. Hatton and Cotto have similar Duran styles and were picked apart. Roberto had that extra something to take that style and apply it like no other before or after.

Hearns is the closest in "style" that I think would give Mayweather problems. But since Paul Williams dropped off the scene, there arent many 6ft+ fights around that weight so we wont see that happen.

In short, like many others have said, there is no "blue print". If there were, many would have found it by now. Being adaptable, fit, aggressive and concussive is what's needed and there simply are not many boxers around that have all of those tools.

Because ANY fighter at ANY time no matter how skilled or how gifted can taste defeat .

Yes, these particular fighters aren't easy to duplicate. But one sometimes wonders how close someone like a prime Pac may have been. He may very well have had the skill set needed. I don't think he's quite at Duran's level, but he's the closest to it in terms of current fighters.

There was no demand for the rematch. No one wanted to see it. Not to mention Oscar tried to get the lion's share of the purse again and PBF wasn't having it.

 

I think there is a blueprint to beat May, but Mother Nature will be the one to institute it. At some point, every fighter's physical attributes will fail them if they continue fighting long enough. Part of the fun of watching Floyd, is to see if it'll happen during an upcoming fight.

 

I agree with that, and I give Canelo a chance because I think he can fight in different ways. He is very patient, and can counterpunch very well. He's got more to his game than Guerrero, that's for sure.

I rate Floyd, but I will be surprised if he outclasses Alvarez. I can't wait for the fight, I think it will be a classic!

 

I doubt it. You basicly have to wait for Floyd to make a mistake and either leave himself open or falls off balance you land a hard one two. But its hard. He moves backward too fas lottery.ainst Floyd is better to play thet.But a one shot KO of Floyd the fav bigtime! ag
