Yep, he also gasses because he has to get into fighting shape and cut down in weight between fights.

    No, that wasn't impatient.

That was good defense by Trout.

Those shots would have landed on lesser fighters.

Some of those right hands missed by only inches. If he would have caught Trout, it would have been game over.

Just because you miss a punch doesn't mean you threw it in desperation. He was probably landing those shots on his sparring parteners leading up to the fight.

Regardless, due to the circumstances surrounding the Trout fight, very little of value can be taken from that fight.

canelo showed that he could fight through adversity with the seventh round knockdown.

the trout fight was clearly not going his way after six rounds.

To me this is a very intriguing fight. There are a few question marks in regards to Canelo's stamina, experience, chin etc., but he does bring some interesting qualities into the fight. He punches well with either hand, he has underrated hand speed, he feints well, and generally shows good boxing intellect for a young fighter.

And I could be wrong, I'm not sure, but I don't think that Mayweather has a significant height and/or reach advantage over Canelo. In fighting an opponent with the youth, explosiveness (all things that fighters like De La Hoya and Mosley lacked), and boxing skill as Canelo, not having a significant height or reach advantage can make this a competitive fight.

Really? That really goes without being said, otherwise any fighter that doesn't connect at 100% would be throwing in desperation. IMO, at times he was throwing wild shots.

After he scored the knockdown he went right back to doing nothing.

Almost every city has a guy as fast as Floyd.

You can't get a guy that can think like Floyd though. That's what matters.

    :good

And I liked how Floyd adapted to Cotto nullifying his straight right, so he started throwing it with an Arc shich Cotto didn't have much of an answer to. I always say the way to beat Floyd is to be ANOTHER adaptable fighter just like he is.

Canelo is that type of fighter. He adapted to Trout.

Who cares? Money will hit Camelot with everything he throws. His reaction time will be overwhelming for Camelot.

I don't think that was a matter of adaptation. That was a game plan.

Don't let Floyd fool you with his bull****. He's a brilliant strategist.

We'll see what he has in mind for Canelo who will be the most formidable opponent he's faced in years, perhaps since DLH.
