A whole lot if you use your imagination...One of the important things that made the great Robinson so special as a welterweight was his almost 6ft height that exceeded almost everyone of his opponents...Tremendous advantage as I noticed when he kept Henry Armstrong at bay stabbing Henry who was at 5ft51/2" at a disadvantage...Benny Leonard was most always shorter than his LW opponents at 5ft5"...He had to use tremendous guile and brain power to outthink and outmaneuver his stronger opponent while outclassing his LW division for SEVEN years using his noggin..
Gene tunney along with almost everyone who saw Benny Leonard described him as having "a hair trigger brain ",as described by Ray Arcel...

Marciano deserves a mention here. He had a good fighting brain if not the best way of demonstrating it due to his style but he knew what needed to be done. Having charlie Goldman in his corner helped I'm sure.

Loved the way Jersey Joe could set traps and feint, then lay a grenade on his man lightning quick as the dude reacted or moved the wrong way. I think his feints were so damn good that they opened up windows that wouldn't normally be there. He got really good at squeezing big shots through those small windows.
