Party in Liverpool for Mayweather vs. Canelo next week...

    BritBox are throwing a launch party for the print release of the magazine and showing Mayweather vs. Canelo + undercard in the LIVERPOOL BIERKELLER (L1).

    There will also be a charity auction for the Lymphoma Association and Cash for Kids. We have signed gloves etc and worn ring gear from fighters (Riddick Bowe, Fury, Price signed gloves etc.)

    Special guests is David Price and hopefully other local fighters like Paul Eddy, Tom Stalker and Tony Quigley

    Sorry to slightly derail your thread but I'm down in Liverpool this weekend for a Stag; can you - or any other Scouse posters? - recommend any decent boozers where we'll all be able to watch the Ricky Burns fight? Ideally no wanky/poser pubs.

    Cheers mate. The Bierkeller mentioned might be showing it in the city center in the 'Liverpool One Chavasse park', belter sports bar upstairs.

    bierkeller or carraghers bar mate ! There are 2 carraghers bars in city centre, cracking food (if eating is not cheating) and good atmosphere in both !

    The Bierkeller is a cracking place. Last time I was there, they would flip a coin at the bar and if you guessed right the round was half price.

    Sounds like a great night mate, the link isn't working for me for some reason. Would me and a few mates just be able to turn up at the Bierkeller at 1 AM fight night? Or is it guest list only?

    Also with the boxing likely to be until 5 maybe 6 in the morning will they have the license for the bar at this time?....

    Any info would be appreciated

    ALL WELCOME, free entry. We've just got a guest list so we can give wristbands out on the night and keep track of numbers. Want me to put you down? Jut need a name and amount of guests.

    And we have a 24/7 bar for the night :good. Food served from limited menu till about 3 too.
