Nah, I'm kinda liking this fight. I'd been thinking about Stevens - GGG sorta since the Ayala fight (caught it on the Kovalev - Campillo under), though he looked very average 'gainst Findley.

Can't see him winning it, but the possibility of a lights out L.Hook makes it more interesting than some of the more credible fights out there. It's been mentioned by others that it's good to see Showtime coming in game for the fight, 'cos Mack was way too wary from the very start.

Least we oughta see how Golovkin handles a guy with decent KO power, for all his vulnerabilities. Gennady tends to spend the first coupla rounds working his guy out, so if Stevens comes out hard we could see Gena getting backed up a bit, but I think Stevens will be outta there by 3-6.

GG had to go 7 with him and needed endswell between rounds.

 

Stevens doesn't have the Chin to hang in there with GGG.

He hasn't been sparked like Stevens has. Anyone who knows Stevens history knows he is an average fighter. Not sure why some on here are acting like he is some huge threat. There are several other fights GGG could take that would be more dangerous then this one.

 

I'm picking Golovkin to win because I'm not blind, black or from NY.

 

So is Stevens, he has virtually no chance, he's an average fighter with a decent punch, I'm not a massive GGG fan by any stretch but come on, he does EVERYTHING better than Stevens, and that included punch power, by quite a wide margin. People say GGG hasn't been tested yet..Stevens is supposed to be that test? Macklin is better than him fs

Bingo, what exactly does Stevens bring that has all of these people so excited? So he can crack a bit, big ****in deal, he's already failed at a level below that which GGG is on, so I don't know why people think Stevens is all of a sudden gonna expose Gennady(although it's not like Gennady can expose Stevens, that has already been done and dusted), who has the power to do the vulnerable Stevens serious damage, that coffin was in poor taste and Stevens shouldn't tempt fate
