Don't blame him, would have been a hard decision as he always wanted to be a world champion to come out of the shadows of Ricky....sadly just not quite enough talent
Did well considering having to follow Ricky, winning european belt and fighting for a world title, I dont think he can achieve anymore. Good luck to him.
Better to watch than Ricky. :finger5 ...and I honestly mean that. Matthew wasn't the most exciting but he wasn't mini-Ruiz either. He boxed clean within his limited abilities.
Oh that. Wasn't that some minor thing, a few years back? Over promotional issues? A mere spat, nothing family doesn't get over before too long. I certainly don't think it ever got to where they became estranged. Also, http://www.manchestereveningnews.co...hatton-in-revenge-bid-with-vyacheslav-1239030
Can any of the negative posters on here show us their European belts?I admire natural talent but I have much more respect for lads who do their best with what they have got.........triers I hope the lad has a long and happy retirement.
Proper professional who like many have said, perhaps lacked the natural talent many have but more than made up with it with dedication and desire. Hope he enjoys retirement.
Gotta laugh at people slating Matthew Hatton sayin his garbage and that having never dedicated their lives to anything really Always liked him... Grafted for everything he got and seemed like a genuine nice guy... Can be proud of what he did especially pickin up a euro belt along the way, had a better career then most
