Everybody knows Arnie demands 100 per cent commitment from his fighters and Joe couldn't give him that living in Wales, both remain good friends
I reckon John Murray would make a good trainer. Saw a video of him on youtube and he looked very sensible, and cautious about the ups and downs of the pro game. Hes got good experience he could pass on to young fighters.
think that injury / failed scan woke him up a bit when he thought his career was over and didnt have much to show for it
I hope John isn't training his brother unless he has decided against continuing his own career. I think he would need to be 100% focused on his own boxing for him to improve as a fighter and I believe he could come again and get a few wins and challenge for a world title again.
When joe fought at the Olympia he seemed to be very flat , lacking fluency and ideas compared to when he first turned pro , it was highly noticeably that he constantly looked over to John for instructions and not Arnie at all .
Dan is a good fighter yes but joe had boxed an 8 rounder v dai davies around 2 months b4 so inactivity is no excuse. 2 training camps loads of sparring 8 hard rounds with a tough opponent. He goes on about picking up the british title then moving on up but on recent performances can u see him even winning the british title. I think walsh will stop him late in their fight.
I said above if you look that Walsh will stop him. Walsh is coming down from lightweight and has beaten scott harrison, imo Joe Murray is a small super feather
