I think Barker is likely fighting Sturm next so he might not get his rematch. Do you think he will fight in a world title eliminator against a top 10 guy? Will he fight Sam Soliman next?
Barker is confident of beating Sturm and even wants the fight in Germany. So Geale may take a tune up and then a possible Barker rematch. But I think he should fight Soliman for his no.1 ranking so he is mandatory regardless of who wins between Barker and Sturm. Or if he wants to get ballsy and enhance his U.S exposure he could fight Daniel Jacobs. Very dangerous fight for him though Jacobs is a KO specialist.
Go the first choice Stiffy.......Geale fights Soliman & then fights winner of Barker/Sturm which is again a 50/50 fight more leaning to Sturm.......Stylistically he's bad for Barker.
Hard to say whether there would be great money in a Jacobs fight. Probably a step backwards for Geale. Barker will be hard up getting the nod in Germany, so if Geale waits this out he might get a Sturm rematch, win his title back and then rematch Barker. If Barker was to get past Sturn, I think he'd look towards cashing out on easier domestic fights - where the coin would be there and the risk no so great.
I'm sure thats just a **** take geale v mitrevski Jr haha. No way would play second fiddle to mundine on his card and no way would he drop down that far in class. my money's on a soliman fight
He's joking. But then again from the posts I've seen of his here and at ABF he just might be serious.
He wouldn't fight Soliman when he had the title, his not going to fight him when he doesn't have the title and doesn't need to fight him, Soliman fight is a risky one they wont take. He will wait it out for Barker rematch, prob warmup against some bum.
It's not 100% certain Geale has a rematch clause with Barker. I have been reading different reports so if there is no rematch clause he should fight Soliman for his #1 ranking in case Sturm beats Barker so he gets a title shot regardless.
I think it was Geale who stated that they had a rematch clause but if they didn't then yeah the smart option would be to fight Soliman however Soliman will want big bucks, especially considering the history between the two fighters and Soliman being fcked around by Geales Team.
Geale tears into him from first bell. Backs up his man with a razor-like jab that puts Hearns to shame. Almost decapitates him with a Tyson-like uppercut. The wind from his right cross knocks the ref off his feet, M Jrs gum shield into the cheap seats, and its another high light reel early KO for the rock fisted killer Geale..... ....er No! Watch ANY round from ANY Geale fight ....try to stay awake....rinse and repeat....
