We Be Crooks pathetic rule of open scoring, it to some degree it takes some of the excitement out of close fights

The open scoring in that fight was bull**** and the cards where way to wide.

It was a close fight imo.

It seems most people on here say that, many of them will not have even watched the fight, but after Mayweather has fought Canelo if he wins all of the Mayweather fans will talk about how Mayweather dominated him.

Trout was Champion. Outlanded Canelo. The knockdown was the only strong case for Canelo. And Trout did land some nice body shots that had Canelo hurt in rounds 6-8 I think. The daft open scoring told the whole story, Trout was never gonna get a decision.

This is how i scored it

    1.10-9 TROUT
    2.10-9 CANELO
    3.10-9 TROUT
    4.10-9 TROUT
    5.10-9 TROUT
    6.10-9 CANELO
    7.10-9 CANELO
    8.10-9 TROUT
    9.10-9 TROUT
    10.10-9 TROUT
    11.10-9 CANELO
    12.10-9 TROUT

    116-112 FOR TROUT 8-4

Trout may have missed alot, but canelo didn't make him pay for it and to be honest canelo looked more sloppy as the rounds went on offensively. People are giving rounds to canelo because they were shocked he showed defense, but trout was still dictating the pace reduced canelo to only one punch and a couple jabs.

Everybody has a opinion and this is mine. If you watch the fight closely you will see canelo got alot of credit for shots that he landed upstairs, but if you watch closely you will see they were actually hitting trouts body.

I would like to see what everybodys full scorecard is and not just saying 8-4 or 116-112

@sharpshooter, yes 10-9, because trout went on to win the rest of the round.

Canelo has a MUCH stronger case for him being the winner .

Trout was ineffective the majority of the bout , Canelo landed the more effective punches and nearly knocked out Trout in the 7th after he dropped him with just 1 shot .

Canelo showed he can hurt Trout with his punches and was the more effective puncher , and i must add Austin had no answer for the uppercut , he was getting caught by that punch all night .

Trout pitty pat jabs was not going to cut it . ( Althought i give respect when its due , Those "pitty pat jabs" made Canelo work and tire himself out ) Props to Trout for that, But it just wasn't enough...

    He lost that fight .

Hands down . Canelo WON .

You don't count bodyshots do you??

If you did you'd realize Trout won

Now I see why Cinnabuns jumped off the Vegas undercard to fight Trout in Texas...:deal

So why didn't Canelito go in for the kill since Trout's punches didn't have any snap?

I know one thing...he beat Cinnabuns on the inside and controlled the middle of the ring and SET THE PACE.
