Maidana can't keep moving when he's hurt like Malinaggi. He'll just have to stay there and get hammered.

imagine if Broner moved from 135 without fighting Antonio DeMarco...

Ya'll would be claiming he ducked a THUNDEROUS puncher because he knew he'd get brutally KTFO..ect ect ect.

You must have repressed memories of Maidana getting his shi,.t pushed in by Devon Alexander..

There to be hit? The only guy in this fight who's there to be hit is Maidana fool. Who at 147 other than PBF has better defense than Broner?:hi::deal

I'll post again what one of the best boxing trainers in the world said about Broner ! :yep

"Another one it's going to happen to, as soon as he gets the right man in his face, is Broner.
Broner, so far, so good. He's doing it the best of anyone else that's did it. But then, also, he's
had stiffs in front of him. He hasn't had no real fighter in front of him, man" said Mayweather Sr.

"When he gets somebody real in front of him, he's going to forget all about the roll. The roll
won't even be there, believe me. The roll won't be there, none of that other stuff - picking off, catching, rolling -
you won't see none of that."
    said Mayweather Sr.

When Broner is gonna be hit by Maidana then "he's (Broner) going to forget all about the roll. The roll
won't even be there, believe me. The roll won't be there, none of that other stuff - picking off, catching, rolling -
you won't see none of that." :yep

Easy, easy money for Maidana ! :deal

Newsflash! The only fighter Sr thinks that's worth a damn is his son. He always bashes other fighters saying that their not ****.:deal

BTW refute my point about Maidana being there to be hit. Broner isn't on PBF's level with defense but then again who is? But he's the second best at 147 behind PBF in terms of defense.

I think Broner will win this fight, but it will be tougher than some are making it out to be.

Maidana is a better boxer since he got in the ring with Khan, and I doubt his gameplan will be to apply intense pressure....at least not initially.

He'll probably box with Broner initially, and make Broner come to him. Broner has not shown that he's a guy that gets on his feet and moves around the ring a lot.

He is basically a stationary slugger with excellent defense.

That worked great against guys that came to him at the lower weight divisions, like DeMarco and that short scottish guy he beat not too long ago, but when you show him movement, he struggles.

Ponce De Leon and Malinaggi for instance, but even in those fights, Broner's size, strength and power, proved to be too much for those guys.

In this case, Maidana is not as good a boxer as Malinaggi or probably even Ponce De Leon, but he has size and power. It won't be so easy for Broner to fight with his normal style, in which he prefers his opponent to come right at him, because he may not have the power he had at lower weights.

That could end up being a signficant factor because if he can't stand with Maidana, he's going to have to move, but that's not something Broner has shown he is adept at doing.

Who knows if Broner is even working on that. It should be part of his gameplan, but what Floyd Sr. was probably talking about was, "Can Broner adapt?"

You won't see Floyd stand right in front of a bigger opponent. Broner may try to emulate Floyd's style, but he's more like James Toney, from what I've seen.

Anyway, my point is, this is not going to be a walk through for Broner. If he doesn't take Maidana seriously, he might lose.

    Styles make fights though.

Alexander is bigger than Maidana. He may be the strongest guy at the weight. He's also a southpaw.

Broner didn't look too big when he stepped up against Malinaggi. He barely looked bigger than Malinaggi, who is a small guy in the division.

Like I said, Broner should win, but it won't be easy.
