no, he's a magnificent defensive technician with great conditioning, but by definition the greatest has to have an all-round game.

    Hate much?

Ridiculous to say that even if Floyd KO'd Martinez, KO'd Mattyse-Garcia winner, then beat the top 2 welterweights/JMWs left. he wouldn't even be a top 25 ATG.

It's ok if you hate Floyd, but don't say ridiculous things like that.

Apart from getting Leonard Ellerbe to ring up Doc Brown to borrow the Delorean, there's NOTHING he can do.

3 Fights only & he will be the GOAT, but these 3 fights must be:

    #1 GGG (Middleweight)
    #2 Andre Ward (SMW)
#3 Sven Ottke or Joe Calazage or Bernard Hopkins (SMW)

If he wins all 3 fights he retires as the GOAT :smoke

If Mayweather beats Canelo, now he knows all boxing folks want him to Face GGG, Ward & bigger threats :deal

Not within the confines of his Showtime contract, even if he pads it out with the best available in his weight range following in the Alvarez vein.

Now, if he tacks on another couple of years in that same vein (so upwards of half a dozen more total matches from his current total, each against no lesser competition than consensus #3 rated in their division, but ideally mostly #1 and #2) from 140-154 ... there would begin to coalesce a place for him in the conversation. Extend it to 160 - and this must be strong victorious showings over middleweights no worse than legitimately fourth or fifth best...no draws with Sergio Mora, in other words - and the argument picks up a certain deeply resonant thrum.

To be GOAT he should not be padding or worried about any contract $

He can become GOAT before the end of the contract with 3 fights only, its that easy :smoke

    #1 GGG (Middle)
    #2 Ward (SMW)
#3 One of these 3: Hopkins, Calazage or Ottke (SMW)

If he wins these 3 fights (fairly), the majority will make Floyd the G.O.A.T

    Alvarez (Showtime #2)
Matthysse coming off beating Garcia (Showtime #3)
Alvarado coming off beating Provodnikov (Showtime #4)
Bradley coming off beating Marquez (Showtime #5)
Cotto II coming off beating Rodriguez and some other top rated jmw (Showtime #6)

Pacquiao coming off beating Rios and minimum one additional credible opponent, may e Bradley II (Free agency #1)

Golovkin coming off beating Stevens and 2-3 more contenders and establishing himself as the man with the likely impending retirement of Martinez during this period (Free agency #2)

    :think

I don't see how you could stonewall PBF outside the greatest ten of all time after that run on top of his existing accolades - let alone the greatest twenty-five.

FYI, by no means am I suggesting all the above contingency outcomes are locks but they are distinct possibilities. So in addition to seeking out and beating the best and most credible or legacy-enhancing names available he must also rely on them fulfilling their end and providing him with a bit of luck so all the pieces fall into place.

There is nothing he can do.

His lightweight work is very good. Dominating Corrales was very important to his resumes. His win over Castillo were also important but at same time raise a question mark. Castillo at that weight is probably his toughest fight. He fought a prime Castillo in Castillo's best division. The first fight was not convincing. The 2nd fight was close. So what if he was matched up with Armstrong or Duran or Chavez at the lightweight division. I don't see how you could think floyd beats Armstrong.

Another thing if you took Floyd's welterweight and jr. middleweight resume and asked other fighters to go undefeated against the same opposition, many fighters could do it. Do you think Emile Griffith, Sugar Ray Leonard, Robinson, Napoles and others could do it? Of course many could. His opponents as a welterweight have been very weak becasue of the current generation of fighters available.

So how can you really make any kind of case for GOAT?

No, he'd probably be less respected, like 46-0 Joe Calzaghe.

Well I agree a win vs GGG will put him in the top 10 ATG, the rest of the fights are not stuff you add on to your GOAT application

At this point & age of Mayweather, he needs to pick the biggest names in a GOAT mindset...If thats what he is looking for

If he just want 50-0 and ATG top 10...he will have that in many ways...

GOAT is the big risk, you have tenter the fights as a clear underdog :deal & find a way to win, thats what GOAT is supposed to do

GGG, Ward, Hopkins, Calazage & Ottke, its all at 160 & 168, thats the GOAT fights

Learn to read with an eye for context. You clearly have no clue what "pad" meant in the post you quoted, nor did you understand anything to do with my post given your honing in on two irrelevancies born of your own feeble-mindedness.

Don't sully another of my posts with a quote until you are considerably smarter. I recommend crossword puzzles, berries, non-farm-raised salmon, and gingko baloba. Best of luck to you.
