When was cotto prime? And why didnt a fight get made at 140?

When was shane prime? Why didnt they fight in 2007? Was it because floyd?

Marg isnt a atg and isnt even a hofer so how would that enhace floyds resume?

Pac dont like test or didnt anyway. And how was pac prie when people were saying he was past it after the second marquez fight?

And floyd fought 2 of the fighter on the list, Fighters cant always meet up in there prime.

His skills and his performance in the ring is G.O.A.T worthy, but his resume keeps him from being the G.O.A.T. He's right now top #25 atleast! He still has 4 more fights to push him up the ranks. I mean current and old fighters speaks high of him being one of the best!

Doesnt have/ never had the quality fighters to do so, even if he fought everyone, which you cant anyway.

Erase Margarito off this lists. Beating him would have done nothing for his legacy. Prime Mosley was 135 champ when Mayweather was 130 champ. Mosley chose to move up 147 to fight DLH, so that fight never happen. Prime Cotto team got Mayweather to fight Cotto close friend and sparring partner which style is very close to Cotto. His name was Henry Bruseles which was also trained by Cotto's trainer. When Maweather beat Bruseles, Cotto's uncle/trainer at the time said Cotto was not ready for Mayweather. As far as Pac, when know what pretty much happened there. Drug testing/ Bob Arum getting in the way of that!

Ray Robinson had over 100 knockouts. Floyd has 44 total fights.

    No way.

I don't think his stills in the ring are G.O.A.T. worthy. He doesn't possess enough offensive for that claim. We're not even sure how well his chin would hold up if here were in an actual fight.

I will say his skill set is probably in the top 15 but his accomplishments are far below that.

Isn't that the purpose of boxing? Hit and don't get hit. That's why he is G.O.A.T worthy as far as skills. He's top 5! We talking defense and offense together. Usually a fighter is great on one end. He's good on both end. MAyweather was offensive first half of his career. Defense first didn't happen until he got to WW.

No but he's in top 5 as one of the best technical fighters of all times. As somebody said here, Floyd did/does what every fighter should do. Make as much $ as u can, take less punishment and retire undefeated. The health comes first and he's right about that.

Don't forget that Floyd is the face of boxing right now / the highest paid athlete in the world / the main attraction in boxing ..... like him or not .

Mayweather has never even beaten an all time great fighter in their prime/close to prime condition. Marquez had the weight issue, and Hoya and Mosley were past their best days. (Even Pac, who people seem to criticise more and more, has a win over a prime/near prime Barrera.)

Mayweather is a great fighter, but his record doesn't match his abilities. When he retires, he'll be lucky to be ranked in the top twenty.

Floyd need prove nothing more; he's already an ATG. Gifts like his (not withstanding his boorishness) rarely come along.

We're smoking that dank kind bud that lets us express ourselves without a double post. :rasta

...and no he isn't close now, but if he followed a path as proscribed, highly dependent on external factors as much as his willingness to make things happen and then perform when needed, then he would he somewhat close.
