I know that its irrelevant like but does anybody know if Galahad done anything as an amateur?

He has certaintly looked a better pro than Jazza so far but does Jazza have a better amateur record than him?....

I've seen Jazza boxing for England at a few tournaments but at the junior Commonwealth Games he was the standout boxer for the England team that had boxers like Iain Weaver over in Pune, he was robbed against the indian ion the semi if i remember right. I'm sure he was also on the GB squad too until he wasn't picked for the Olympics last year.

Not too sure on Kid Galahad's amateur career but I never came across him at tournaments when i was coaching with the Scottish team.

As far as amateur experience goes jazza was an international and on the GB squad

    Not aware of Barry's C V

But I don't put much weight behind amateur credentials

Credit were it's due Barry is unbeaten as a pro
And has made good progress thus far
Due to good management / matchmaking

    The same applies for jazza
The kid only wanted this fight after jazza's below par performance against fernandes

Jazza will win by stoppage IMO
Barry does not take many shots GRANTED
But that's about to change next week he's been down before and will do again

And kidding himself and the boxing public will be his undoing
I don't think either has been really tested yet as a pro
And think we will learn a lot about both next week

Thinking he's the next coming of naz
And 6/7 levels above jazza may well be one of the stupidest things he or naz ever said

Looking forward to taking hard earned cash of galahad fans

Looking at the style Galahad fights with you would think he would have done well as an ameteur

    Anyone that fancies galahad
I'm happy to have the debate with you regarding styles tactics ect ect

If you fancy a bet against ME personally ( hope I haven't got this 1 wrong )

Can bet with me by ringing Joe Jennings international telephone betting

And by quoting your screen name and makeveli

    I will know who's who
I'm sure this will get quite a bit of banter going in the next week or so

    Odds 4-7 Barry 6-4 jazza 20-1 draw

    0500 521 421 or mobile 01279625900

    Let the games commence

I really hope he doesn't try to force the fight with Kid Galahad, Jazza is a very good boxer that can box and fight, if i was coaching him for this fight i would be looking for him to use his excellent skills to try outbox Kid Galahad.

I think Jazza has been trying hard to impress and has made himself look like he is just a wee brawler but he is class.

I think the way to beat Galahad surely would be pressure. He takes straights shots off average opponents I think jazza could hurt him and put him out of his comfort zone it's just weather he can land enough

Cheers pal. I'll be rooting for Jazza anyway, he went to the same Primary and High School as me in the School year below and is a very nice lad

Good to see the fight is live on Channel 5 too...

Pressure yes but it couldn't just be come forward no thinking pressure, it would be calculated pressure where you cut the ring down and make it hard for Kid Galahad to get the space he needs to get his shots off and at the same time making him box at a pace he doesn't like.

If Jazza just comes forward trying to overwhelm Kid Galahad with flurries of punches I fear he will get beat. I might be wrong but I think that would be playing into Kid Galahad's fight.
