I just rewatched both guys' fights vs Hatton, and thought, who takes this at 140? :think the skills, power and accuracy of Tszyu, or the speed, movement and aggression of Pacquiao?
Prime for prime this is a very tough pick, Tszyu had a monster of a right hand that would definitely land against the southpaw, Pac on thr other hand could overwhel him & stop him with the volume, speed, movement & power. I'd have to go with Pac but wouldn't have been shocked had Tszyu stopped him.
Tough, tough call, but I see Kostya being able to take Pacs punishment for long enough to get in a KO right. I don't really see a prime Kostya folding, but a Pac decision would be the likely outcome if 'Zoo couldn't get him outta there.
This favors Tszyu big power in that right hand. You saw what happened vs Marquez. Pacquiao has never faced a legit one punch power like Tszyu. Oscar, Shame and Cotto hit hard but not as hard as Kostya..
I'd go with Tszyu by KO. Most people on here seem to only remember his last fight with Hatton. When he first turned Pro he was devastating.
What about Marquez? PAC never lost and got knocked down by Marquez. You mean Maroid which is a different person, don't get the two mixed up.
If Tszyu isn't able to hurt/back Pacquiao off and is forced on the defensive against an aggressive super fast Pacquiao all night then he will eventually tire and will get stopped late. This won't be an easy fight for both, both will leave this fight bloodied/cut for sure.
If he didn't have a good chin he would have been sparked by Barrera in his first major fight before making it this far. Please don't embarrass yourself and the MANY great fighters Pacquiao fought and beat with that pathetic comment.
I'd favour Pac to take this. But as always with a big puncher who has decent skills, there is the distinct possibility of a one-punch KO here. Pac 55-45.
Tszyu quits again. Overated power. It would have been like the Judah fight only Manny doesnt drop his hands after wiping the floor with Tszyu in the 1st round.
