I remember Dana White said that there would be no more 1MM+ PPV buy fights after De La Hoya retired. The fact of the matter is, people boxing isn't going anywhere anytime soon. New stars will continue to emerge. Before the De La Hoya fight, who the hell thought Mayweather would ever become a huge star? There are a lot of talented fighters out there, and there most definitely will be more megastars that emerge after Mayweather retires.

I remember PTI randomly mentioned that Roy Jones got knocked out by 'Green', he said 'is this the same Green who fought Leonard?' Dude hasn't fought for like 30 years and he thinks it's the same guy.

He used to nuthug Pacman, but he never actually bought the PPVs or even watched his fights. The only PPV I heard him say he bought was an awful UFC show and the only reason he bought it was for the Kimbo undercard fight (he went on to say how much MMA sucks because of that one fight..great analysis lol). You can't make this sh1t up, and these guys get paid for their opinion.

Or finally, Kornhieser (or whatever it is), a local Washington writer, goes to the first Capitals playoff game in years. His team are down by a few goals so he left before the 3d period begins, and then 'his team' make a huge comeback that he didn't bother to stick around to watch.

If there's one positive thing that can be said about this comment, it's that it's so mind numbingly stupid that it unites boxing fans everywhere in expressing hatred of its idiocy.

Thanks Mike! We need someothing like this from time to time. :good

This whole boxing is dead garbage is just getting old at this point. We have been hearing this for like what, 10 years now? With a history as deep as boxing, the **** aint going anywhere. I am glad UFC/MMA is getting popular because I love it too, but they need to tone down the whole boxing vs MMA thing. Believe it or not, you can be fans of both. I don't get why UFC feels the need to try and poach fans from one sport to the other. It is stupid and futile. And MMA needs to build a history first because they are sorely lacking super talent (that only comes with generation upon generation of knowledge/skill/etc..)

    Fixed it for you!:yep

I can't stand either of those two ball lickers. And I wish there were a weekly boxing only news show that I could enjoy.

Wilbon needs to stick to basketball. But they gave him a microphone and you know what that does to people.

This. Those two are AM radio graveyard shift level of sports commentators.
