You can have all of the size and power advantages you want but if you dont have the speed of foot and hand then no power advantages matter.

In terms of speed it goes like this and I include Canelo

    Judah
    Mosley
    Hatton
    Oscar
    Cotto
    Canelo
    Ortiz
    JMM
    Guerrero
    Baldomir.

Canelo has pretty good speed but nothing too dynamic and is a lesser fighter than Cotto and Oscar.

Floyd wide UD. Canelo slightly busted up.

    Peace

Agreed. more or less. Should pop Sharmba Mitchell in there, since FMJ's fight with him was at 147lbs. He actually had decent handspeed, even at that advanced stage (maybe even above JMM).

I would put Canelo above Cotto, Mosley, and Oscar. I think Ortiz might have been faster than both Mosley and Oscar when he fought Floyd. Oscar, in or near his prime had very quick hands; against Mayweather though, it seemed obvious to me that he had lost that speed and explosiveness. Same goes for Mosley.

Judah had the fastest hands of those on the list

    Hatton
Canelo ( I believe he is faster than the Cotto Floyd fought)

I'm no fan of Hatton, I thought he was a protected fighter and dirty as hell. BUT his footspeed was on par or better than of those fighters listed.

I'll go so far as to agree Hatton was quicker than Baldomir.

I was at the Mitchell-Mayweather fight at the Rose Garden. Mitchell was done at that point, he was really just a blown up lightweight. His speed was not there.

Well we can disagree. I think Hatton's footwork/speed was the only good aspect of his game. It was borderline great IMO. It was what allowed him to win fights even with his very limited skills.
